So I currently use an evod twist and iclear 16 tanks. I enjoy them but I'm tired of burning up coils and wicks. I want something with more power and a better all around vap experience. So I have decided to get a mod. I don't know what I want but I will be getting an rba to go with it. Not sure if I want one with a chip like a sigelei or a mechanical. I do like how my evod and ego Batts shut off when the voltage gets too low. I do own a meter and I work on electronics all day so I'm well versed in ohms law and all that stuff. Not looking to break the bank here either. I am thinking of getting the kayfun mini rba by ivogo from angelcigs. Any thoughts on a mod? I do want long battery life as I drive a lot and use it a lot in the car.

Oh good call on budget. I've been using my evod and some ego 650 Batts for over a year now. I will have about 80-100 bucks to spend on the mod and rba. As far as mech mods the nemesis with switch upgrade and the atomo v2 look good. For a vw/vv mod the sigelei looks pretty good. But I read about a lot of issues with the switch inside it. I am also not interested in dripping, i desire portability with less fuss.

The zmax is a good mod. All of the inexpensive Chinese mods suffer from less than great QC and some seem to be less long lived than others.

Personally I would not spend more than $50 or so for any of them.

I like the idea of having a mod with replaceable batteries as the technology is rapidly improving and I dont have to replace the device to upgrade the battery.

I wouldn't buy a original eVic due to the fragility of the unit (and they are still too expensive for what they are). The Innokin SVD seems to have chronic button issues. A Vamo can be had really cheaply but they are not pocket friendly in 18650 battery configuration.

I like my Smok SID but it has quirks.
The Zmax has the same issues as any of them. The 510 connection is a weak point, button issues happen to them also.

If you like its size and form, you should be happy.

If rugged dependability is a paramount concern, double your budget and go for a Provari.

I own a SID, eVic and a Vamo as well as a Nemesis and a M16 mech. I have friends that are happy with their Sigelei zmax-es.

There is quite a learning curve to be able to use a mech mod safely. There are no built in protections with one and a short circuit can quickly ruin your day. I use my regulated devices the most due to all the built in failsafe features of them. My mech mods are used when I have time and opportunity to use them with the care and respect they demand for trouble free/safe use.

I'd have to agree with anumber1. If you want trouble free, just get a provari and be done with it. Chances are you'll do it at some point anyway, so why not just cut to the chase?

That being said, the MVP 2.0 has been pretty good, but I have to fiddle with the 510 contact quite a bit. Battery life is quite good.

As for the kayfun mini rba by ivogo from angelcigs, I can't say with experience, but I can say, for the same $, the EHPro Kayfun Lite plus has been fantastic.

Best of luck to you!

If you drive a lot your not gong to be happy with an RDA the kayfun lite is a great atty but it leaks when put on its side you will have a bit of a learning curve rebuilding the coil and wick. but you wont get better flavor. With that kind of budget you could get a vamo 2 or 5 a KFL or fogger, same style same pricing. If you shop right you could pick up a naultilus as well great vape and you can rebuild coil heads, you would need a 5 pack to get started. Still have money left over for a mech clone. king or nemy are both good. If you need a pretty good site that has a good sale going on try these guys out. you could try a hana clone mod too that a nice VW/VV with a RBA and a Nault. for close to your 100 buck from this site. you have tons of options. use the code flash25 for 25% off and free shiping but for me when i order the free ship did not work. this site is not huge they have a nice line of mods RBA's and tanks. Dont think they have the vamo but you got a few other thing to look at. Good luck.

Vapor Co | For All Your Vaping Needs!

coupon code flash25 for 25% off end sunday night i think.

My vote goes to the Infinite Stingray and a KFL+ Black Edition. Have an Hcigar Nemesis and an Infinite Stingray, the Stingray is much better.

The Kayfun does not leak, at least mine do not. I have two Tobecco 2014's and they do not leak when built properly. On the side or upside down, not a drop. They key is building it correctly which is not hard but does have a bit of a learning curve.

The nemesis was my first mod after using an ego and I think it's a great choice. It's a very simple and intuitive design. A nemesis with a kayfun is the best bang for your buck you're going to find.

I see you have kayfun experience and had a nemesis mod. I have a Provari 2.5 and a Kayfun (2 of them one 3.1 and a Lite plus v2).

Now let me ask you this, would you go into getting a Nemesis, or stay with the Provari? If you would go with the Nemesis, why?

Also, what were your Ohm on the Kayfun when you had that setup?

Thanks in advance

I haven't tried the provari, but I think mech mods are really fun, and often really cheap. The nemesis will let you go subohm with no problem if you decide to try it. (And learn battery safety!)

On the kayfun I've done 1 to 1.5 ohm single coil builds, and a .7 ohm dual coil build. Really they all work great it's just a matter of personal preference on heat and clouds. .7 is almost too hot for me. Around 1.2 is my sweet spot.

Thanks for your fast reply and yes I love the Provari as you can leverage the Voltage if you go a little over your coil setup (Ohm wise) and or go cooler and warmer if you wish to. The set back on the Provari is the Price ($155). Nonetheless, with a Kayfun, and I own 2 ( a 3.1 and a Lite) its amazing flavor and fair clouds depending on your PG inside the juice...

I have done some initial subohming but got a lot of dry hits, which discouraged me a bit as I wick with cotton.

I now have a better picture if and when using a Mec Mod and I have seen some very cheap clones on the Nemesis or other very cool looking Mec Mods... you can get one for under $70

Thanks again for your feedback and showing others a little more about the huge world of vaping.
