Ok i want to gather togeather a list of flavorings to do my first DIY's. But i dont want to be stuck with just one or two finished products. Also If one or 2 were good straight out of the mix I (my wife) would be really happy.

Heres a list of juice we have or had thats good.

Halo: tribecca, Midnight apple, Malibu
Royal : Bedrock blast
All american e-juice: Mellon blast and grasshopper
We have a very limited selection up here.........

Heres what i have as an idea

sweet strawberry CA
vanilla cust CA
cheese cake TFA
Raspberry TFA
Sweetener TFA

Im going to try some "simple flavors" but i dont want to be left wanting....? Anyone that could help would be great !
Would Double RY4 work with anything to make a good mellow blend that wouldnt need more than a few days steep time ?

Thanks !

You can probably skip the sweetener as more people new to DIY get into trouble expecting sweetener to do something it usually doesn't. If you are heading into fruits you will probably find they have plenty of sweetness to begin with.

I would add a lemon. Something like Capella Lemon Meringue. That would give you possibilities of:

Lemon Cheesecake
Raspberry with lemon
Strawberry with lemon
Vanilla custard sliding into lemon custard
And it stands on it's own as a nice vape. It's a light "clean" tasting lemon - not an overpowering, sour, Lemon Pledge from Hell experience.

I'd also add some type of cream to your list. I find I use Flavour Art - Vienna cream in small amounts in a lot of mixes. Helps to smooth out the harsh edges in some mixes. It will go well with your strawberry or raspberry, in fact you could add some to any of the flavours your mixing.

Out of about 30 different mixes I do, there's probably only about 3 of them that are cream free :)

I usually add it in the 0.5 - 3.0 % range.

For a Tribeca clone, I mix TFA RY4 Double at 8% and add 1 drop of AP per 5ml of juice (for me that works out to 1/2%, my drops are small, about 40 per ml). I at times also add 1-3% Caramel and Vanilla Swirl (or Bavarian Cream if you prefer) to the mix for a sweeter treat. Enjoy your DIY Adventure! :toast:

Cheers,
Steve

That will work very nicely as well. Never tried it with vanilla swirl but for added sweetness that will also work. I'm kinda moving away from the sweeter ry4's as you did.

Whats wrong with the normal cheese cake? I didnt know if the gram cracker crust would conflict with anything and i thought the cheesecake would be bring the flavor and be more versatile in the long run. Or am i wrong in thinking that ?

I had the same thoughts when I picked some up with my first diy order. IMO, and many others around here(if you read enough threads) It's just not very good. It's not too bad if used as a highlight at a very low percentage but as the main flavor it's bad, many say it's gross.

It is also on the list for containing inhalation risk chemicals, while the Cheesecake (Graham Crust) isn't. > http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/550631-flavor-apprentice-flavor-list.html

get some
vanillin, maybe a bourbon vanilla as well... something vanilla lol
Acetyl Pyrazine (AP)
caramel
Ethyl Maltol (EM) (crystals)
maybe a marshmallow (to use in limited amounts as a smoother/ body additive)
maybe menthol crystals and maybe some koolada
some sort of cream

These^ are things I find I use as background notes in a lot of stuff

Do these Tribecca clones need to steep or are they good right away?

I agree with Rocketpuppy, I think mine is vapabable right out of the gate. I'm not saying it doesn't get even better with a little time, but it's pretty darn good right after mixing. I tend to make big batches (the last two were 120ml and 100ml) of it so I have it for a month or so.

Cheers,
Steve
