Very nice and informative thread...After exclusively vapeing ( no analogs ) for almost a month I found myself in the same situation as the OP to need an "upgrade".
So I guess I narrowed it down to the LilChuck, and the protégé...As for myself I am more of a TH and vapor lover, so in your opinion witch of this 2 is better for TH and vapor.

Both the Lil'Chuck and the Protege use 3.7v batteries that offer 'peak volts' for hours. The Lil Chuck batts are longer lasting @1200mAh vs. the 900mAh on the 14500/Protege, but the voltage will be the same and if you use the same ohms on the same attys, the wattage = vapor... will be the same as well as the throat hit. Throat hit is more a function of nic level but the amount of vapor is a factor.

So you might look at the dimensions and other aspects of those two, in order to decide. I know there are satisfied customers for both products and the new switches on the new Protege are stable.
