Hee...just chiming in.

I use my JS V2 exclusively - moved on from my original DSE 901. Size, weight, 801 atty, cart size, batt life all wonderful for me...plus the usb to vape/charge at the PC all day.

That being said, I am looking at the Super-T1 as I'd like to try a different sytle/switch and it offers and nice 3.7 or 6.0 volt option (with the sleeve).

Well said Kavey! In a way I know what he means - at any given time there are 5-10 messages on the 1st page alone asking what kind of e-cig they should get, so read already! lol

But we all need to remember that this is the NEW MEMBER section so that is to be expected. And if that bothers you then yeah, you might want to avoid this particular forum.

Kavey, check your PMs ;)

Checked and replied. Thank you

what suporvapor means here is...
If youre new use the search engine. If you cant find it then this forum isnt for you.
Dont respond unless youve got at least 300 posts.. How you get those first 300 posts is up to you to figure out because you shouldnt ask questions and you shouldnt make replys before then.
Dont be new. Thats a bad thing.
And last and not least this forum is only for experienced users.. Not newbies.

Why on earth would anyone open the new member forum and expect for new members to not ask questions that at some point have already been answered in one of the other 40k posts?
Nobody told you that you have to come in here and help newbies and nobody told us newbies we werent allowed to help.
And just because you have nothing better to do than read each of the 40k posts on this forum does not mean that everyone who has an interest in vaping will have that kind of time. Alot of us have jobs and familys.
I thought this forum was different but it turns out we got the obnoxious know it all internet bully jackasses here too.
i second that motion!!!!!!

yup I was tired
and yup I've asked a 'dumb' question when I needed help - after hours trying to figure out batteries for 3 mods all taking different types
and
yup I've spent hours with well thought out posts giving excellent information...
back in the stone age - say a month maybe two ago?

the dumbest thing about my post was that when posted in the list of Today's post
I didn't even see that the post was in 'New Members' thread.

Yup
there are many battery mods.
If you want more than 1-3 hours of ongoing, consistant vaping
If you 'were' a heavy or more than every few hours on coffee break smoker
If you prefer to invest a few dollars every few months in regular rechargeable bats and
rather than $9-12 2-6 times a month
If you're not concerned that your e-cig doesn't look like an .... log because the priority is to change how you get your nicotine rather than look like you're smoking

so - from one now rested '...' who's life has been saved by quitting smoking
but is truly tired of people claiming the e-cigs that look like e-cigs can offer something they can't deliver. And tired of taking the time to explain why that is while the noobs who are just like I was 3 months ago tell other noobs to spend their money on another
ciggie looking e-cig.

Seems an opinion that supports the suppliers and ongoing $50 investments instead of just buying a product that lasts and simply works are what's most accepted here.
510 -901-801 - branded with a nice name, decorated with a logo, in a super new color
without the battery mod to allow full and consistant function of your atty...
still beats the heck out of smoking but IMHO doesn't come close to being reliable or consistant enough to conquer the dreaded .... logs.

While I agree there are parts to replace in these $40.00 Kits I dont think you need a whole new kit every time your atomizer or battery goes out.
I do think maybe for sitting at home you could use something that looks like an erector set but at work id like something I can put in my pocket and not draw a bunch of unwanted attention from customers when I take a hit.
But the whole point is this is the new member forum.. something simple yet effective is the best thing for us. After time if we want more we can browse around and find something bigger and better that suits us. I think 40 bucks is a good way to start and try it out and see if it works for you and I also think that something smaller is going to make the transition easier.

But I do appreciate that you came back and posted an honest informative opinion this time instead of the kind of stuff you posted last night. Even if I dont agree with your opinion its something for others to think about.

Hi Kavey and 6links
The OP stated:
I bought a few joye 510's and i have been using them now for a few weeks and they are pretty good but i want something better. i would like a little better battery life and bigger cart size. can anyone make some suggestions on a better pv? are the 901 or 801's any good? how do they compare to the 510? thanks for any help.

Laser Vaper's, Screwdrivers, Adaptevers, etc.... are comfortable in the hand.... actually may be of help if there is a ban ----- they are just different enough to NOT be confused with an e-cig or an .... log.... and are a step towards the 'better' which answers the question.

I was under the impression the OP already had a P/V and was not looking for a starter e-cig... rather desiring to improve his vaping experience. My apologies.

Trying the 901-801-510- or branded models of those is basically continuing in the short bat life, inconsistant vape mode. With legal regulation possible - many are thinking about availability of product, not being obvious about what we're doing and keeping the costs down/stocking up. Relying only on e-cig manufacturers for attys might not be such a bad idea.

Having had the opportunity to try a 510, 801, 901, ScrewDriver, Laser Vaper, Prodigy and GG gave me the chance to discover the differences between them... and the only really everytime/right on/good vapor/taste/reliability is with a mod.(added: or carrying extra bats and replacing/recharging/buying more frequently) There are some nice streamlined models that are really classy and get the job done.

As for the namecalling- I don't believe it's accepted - though 'stupid' opinions are allowed.

I'm still rather new to e-cigs, but I'll give you my experience so far. I first purchased the 510 because of all the recommendations. I didn't like it from day one because of all the fiddling I had to do with it. Now, some people love to tinker with things and find ways to make them better. I am not one of those people. ;) I wanted something more "plug-and-play", so to speak. So, I poked around and found the Vapor4Life subforum here and started reading about the Vapor King. I was pleased with all the wonderful reviews and impressed with the willingness of the VK users to answer all my (sometimes trivial) questions. I ended up ordering a VK kit and I have been very happy with it from day one. No tinkering at all --just make sure the batteries are charged and screw on a cartridge. That's it. The cartomizers seem to last a decent amount of time, and I would say that I'm close to being a chain vapor.

As for the service I receive from Steve at Vapor4Life, it's astounding. Super-fast shipping, extras thrown in, excellent communication --the works. I really couldn't be more pleased.

Now, is vaping as easy or as consistent as smoking an analog? No. It's technology vs. paper and tobacco. But, it can come darn close with the right set-up and some practice. :)

The super t-1 is a work of art. With a 801 adapter and adjustable air flow, you should be able to make the throat hit whatever you want it to be. Hand machined and 6 volt capable is hard to beat. I have been looking long and hard at buying one of these.
..
My vote would be to get a 6v Super T-1 with the 801 adjustable airflow. While you're at it, buy me one and I'll send you all three of my Janty Sticks.

Hi
A quick newbie question please. I have been using a M401 the past 21 days as my first PV. Need more vapor though; and so I have decided to go with the Prodigy. My question is it seems after researching that more mods out there have been designed to naturally fit the 801 more than most other e-cig models? There are usually adaptors available for a mod for the main e-cig models like 501 and 901 etc., but the 801 seems to be the one that fits most of the Mods by design as I see it right now.

So, Would getting an 801 coupled with a premium mod like the prodigy be the most flexible/versatile choice when in the future I might want to add/try other mods further down the road in addition to the prodigy?

In other words which model e-cig works best and with the most mods that are out there now?
Thanks

I have never seen or heard of a new improved battery for the 510. Where can I find some of those. The only downside of my 510 is the short battery life.

This is where I bought mine:

Janty USA - Dura-C XL BATTERY

But other websites have them as well. I chose Janty for the 6 month warranty.:D
