Coiling Calculator

Shortdraw -- here are a few links for you regarding building coils and getting the resistance just where you want it:

1. Steam Engine
2. Coil Toy Calculator

Both are very helpful. Coil Toy shows you a picture of your coils. Steam-Engine has a lot of other nifty tools. Heat flux/index for one. Ohm's Law and battery drain calculators as well.

When you get a chance, do go through Baditudes blog posts. He has a lot of very useful information peppered in throughout his blogs.

All really good advise here nothing I can add to it except if you go to smokeless smoking try their blackbird I've been using it all day today and it is a very popular flavor I just can't describe it to you.
1. Blackbird - berry base with overtones of anise
2. Raven - sweet anise flavored absinthe with earthy clove tones
3. Phoenix - cinnamon anise mix w/a hint of fruit

All wonderful anise vapes!:)

So I was looking at the kick 2 and the crown 2.0 offered at RTD Vapor, looks like a nice accessory to increase the performance and safety of these things, but they take up quite a bit of length in the battery tube. I'm concerned that neither would fit inside my Vanilla's 18350 tube. Is there a lower profile unit offered somewhere else that just offers the same thing or even just short circuit protection? Battery safety is on my mind and I'd really like to stick with the most compact size I can.

The most important part of battery safety is to test your coils and verify that you aren't pulling more current than your battery is rated for.
If you wrap a 1 ohm coil, you aren't pulling more than 4.2 amp, 17 watts anyway, so limiting your output with a kick is less important. Some mods come with extra tubes that attach for use with a kick, but the vanilla is a single tube mod, so, unless there is room with the top pin as far in as it goes, it might not fit.
Although you may have concerns now, sooner or later you are probably going to be running that thing in 18650 mode with sub-ohm coils anyway to get more flavor and vapor out of your RDA.

If you can figure out the threading on your vanilla mod you can probably find a kick tube that fits for it.

My chiyou comes with a kick tube; it is 20mm height. This allows me to use 18650/18350 batteries with a kick.
The alternative if you don't have a kick tube is to use batteries that are a bit shorter; so people would get 18500 batteries to use with a kick instead of 18650;
The kick tube is the better way.
