My package from Cignot is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I'm thinking maybe I should have bought a few more items.

Here's what I have coming:

Joye 510 NO BOX
Joye 510 Extended Life Battery - Manual Red LED
Cherry Cola 12mg 6.5 ml
ECOpure Fresh 5ml, 10mg Nicotine

Do you think I should get some empty carts or maybe a pass-thru? Is what I have here enough to last a week? I just don't want to be caught empty and unable to vape. I figured if I don't have enough here, I have time to put in another order to arrive by the end of the week.

Thanks!

New vapers tend to use a lot of liquid early on. It's the novelty and a learning curve. You have less than 12 mls of liquid coming while the average vaper uses about 2 mls per day. Do pre-filled carts come in the kit? Still, it's tight, IMHO...
It comes with 5 pre-filled carts (Marlboro Hight). OK, I'll definitely try some more liquids. What about empty carts? Do I need more? How many do you have?

Everything you have is good. Don't stock up on any one thing too much until you know what you like, but you are treading a little light on supplies and spare parts.
You may find you like another model better, but don't jump right now.
Evaluate your e-cig components:
1-Would any one component failure shut you down?
2-Would another failure send you back to point #1, and so on?
3-Is your current supply chain about 1 week, if so, never have less than 1 week in supplies on hand. What if your supplier is out of stock when you need him the most?
4-Are you keeping track of how much you spend/save vaping?

Add to the 510 equipment base a little. Go slow, don't just sling money around, you may stay with the 510, may move on.

Spare parts and juice, gotta have juice.

Thanks Rocket. Currently the analogs I smoke are American Spirit Ultra Lights. With tax, they run about $5.65 per pack x 7 per week, so thats roughly $40/week. I figure I won't see any savings for the first few weeks of trial & error with juices and parts.

Smoking about a pack a day, I guess I'll just have to see how it goes in order to determine how much I need to keep on hand. I'm going to order a bunch more juice now. I didn't buy any extra attys since most people say they last 1-3 months.

I agree I don't want to just throw money around, I just got a bit scared when I realized that tomorrow is the big day and I'm really trying to avoid a return to analogs (even if temporary) if at all possible. I decided to make this move after trying out the E-Lite brand at a mall kiosk on Saturday. I almost bit the bullet right then and there but they were (supposedly) sold out of the $99 starter kits and he was really trying to sell me on the $179 kit. That was just too much money to spend without investigating it further. I'm glad I ended up here because it saved me a ton of money.

We do have a vape shop here in town (Indyvaporshop) that I have not been to yet, but they do have reasonable prices on juice and parts. So if I get in a pinch, I can always head over there. I plan on visiting the place sometime next week. It's about 25 minutes away but that would be totally worth doing rather than resorting to analogs in a pinch.

I'll pick up some more juice and maybe a few empty carts and see how it goes. I already know somewhat what to expect in terms of the vaping experience since I tried it at the mall kiosk. I'm also going to investigate the Ego further, but I'll wait a little while before investing another $80 in a starter kit.

Thanks for all the help everyone!

As everyone has said, the main thing is that you need more liquid.

You're going to have 3 batteries and 2 atomizers. Unless one of your liquids is ultra-pungent (which I don't think yours are), you don't need equipment immediately. But changing batteries gets boring very fast.

I'd suggest you order the liquid immediately and start reading about the different battery mods available. There are good discussions about almost all of them on ECF and the following should help you figure out what's available.
e-Cigarette modifications | e-Savuke.com

Not every mod is right for everyone. Size, weight, button position, whether you'll need an adapter for your favorite atomizer -- these are all things to consider. And reading other people's experiences will help you narrow down your selection very quickly.

Good luck.

Experiment a bit (I highly reco the 901 and the TornEgo, make sure you've got adapters for on-the-fly atty switching). Stock up on attys, you WILL go thru quite a few before you get thru the "learning curve". You gotta keep in mind vaping, unfortunately, isn't for everyone (couldn't convince me of that a month ago tho), but if you stick with it, you'll VERY quickly find yourself sick of the batt dance (switch, charge, switch, charge). Consider your options for a mod, there's alot of good one's out there, and you can get lith-ion batts extremely cheap with a bit of research (Battery Junction is great, but right now they're on "hold").

Just take it slow, stock up on juice (go "crazy" for the first month), and find what works best for you so you stick with it....your lungs (and health) will thank you for it in the long run :)

I agree with most of the other poster, you will defenately need more liquid. I am also fairly new to this, & didn't have a great start with my kit(not from the same supplier you ordered from). Anyway based on my personal experience, I would recommend ordering a few extra atty's "just in case". I ordered a Joye 510 starter kit plus an extra battery & atty. Within the 1st 30-40 days, all 3 atty's werent' working for one reason or anther! So now I made sure to order a few extra so I don't have to worry anymore. Good Luck with your journey.
