Hi Folks!

I need a new vaporizer. I started out with Blu e-cigs and found those to be unsatisfactory. Then I moved to an eGo-T battery with a CE4 clearomizer. That was better, but I wanted something with replaceable atomizers. So I bought a CE5 with a removable atomizer. But, it's a cheap piece of junk and the replacement atomizers are hit and miss - some don't thread in correctly and it doesn't produce consistently good vapor. Recently, I have found myself sneaking an analog smoke more often because my current vaporizer is not cutting it.

I like the eGo battery and would like something new to ride on top of it.

So, please help me spend my money. Here is what I am looking for :

1) VAPOR production. I don't want an "airy" hit.
2) replaceable atomizer/rebuildable
3) not too expensive (I'd like to keep it in under $30 if possible)
4) quality construction that will last - I don't want to be back here in the same place a month from now.
5) works with eGo type batteries
6) I prefer a top-fill type of tank

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Best regards and thanks in advance!

Take a look at the ego twist. It has a variable voltage battery, and the battery goes for about 25 USD. Once you go Variable, you'll never go back. You can adjust the power to your liking and find that sweet spot you are looking for. Get a quality atomizer with it, I'm sure someone can offer their preferences. The new protanks are supposed to be pretty good.

Do you want "replaceable" or "rebuildable"? If you are mechanically inclined and want to start building you own coils/wicks then get a RSST.

That's a good entry level RBA and there's a ton of info out there on how to set them up to suit your particular needs.

It is the atomizer, cart, tank he's looking for I believe. Not the battery.

True, I'm puffing on the extended ego Bamboo with a vivi(It's a beastly size) but puts out good vapor at 3.8-4.2v and last more than a day. He mentioned wanting to keep it under 30 bucks, so that puts him out of the range of the apvs. thought variable might help. But yeah, definitely move past that ce4.

Yes, I am happy with eGo batteries. At this time, I am not ready to go down into the rabbit-hole of mods and advanced vaporizers. I do like to tinker, but my tinkering is limited to telescopes. I want to keep my vaping simple while avoiding disposable tanks that go into the landfill. I keep hearing about Kanger tanks, but I also hear they give an airy hit and aren't they bottom-filler types?

I'd also want something that is roughly the same form-factor as my current rig - I like the small size and the ability to vape while driving.

I am going to go now and look into the Vivi Nova and read more about it. :)

Best regards,

Take a look at the iclear 16 or iclear 30. I have a couple of 16s that I like, the heads are replaceable and they produce good vapor and a warmer vape. Can't compare it to the vivi nova as I haven't used one...yet. My main clearos are kanger evods and mini pro tanks. I don't like the airy draw, but I have found (thanks to this forum) that covering one of the air intake holes on the base with a small piece of scotch tape does the trick. Good luck and I hope you find something that fits what you want!

Kanger
I like my Kangers, and I have many, but they can be finicky lil brats sometime if I let the tank go low.

IClear 16/30
I like them and the dual coil is nice, but the ones I have a a bit hard on the draw and the airhole tend to fill and gurgle a lot.

Vivi Nova
Overall great draw... right in the middle for me. I have been using the same few for months. Not as good as a drippable or Genesis style, but gives a nice warm vape consistantly

Just an update. I hate it when I run across old forum threads with no resolution or ending. What did the guy spend his money on? LOL.

Well, I am still procrastinating. I am limping along using my CE5, but running low on juice. When I buy some more juice, I will probably take the plunge and get a new tank or clearomizer. Not sure which yet, but leaning towards a Kanger mini. I'll know in the next week. :)

i have vaped and own just about every mod there is except some of the $600 mech mods and the best results i have gotten are from a provari with a simple carto tank, best vapor production, most vape time without maintenance, and 100% reliable.
a carto cost about a buck if you punch your own holes.
i pay $45 for 50 of them and each one last me about two weeks and i vape pretty heavy.

if you dont want to spend the $160 on a provari right now its understandable i waited almost two years to get one but you know i spent a lot more buying $60-$100 every few months until i got sick of buying new mods all the time. im sure you could get similar results with a vamo and a carto tank if money up front is an issue.

the funny thing is i didnt buy a provari for along time just because thats all i ever heard was"buy a provari" i just figured it was a fanboy thing and couldn't possibly be any better then the lavatubes, zmax, vamo's that i was currently using, well one week i said what the hell and ordered one got it loved it and bought a mini a week later, that has been all i have used in a little over a year now and both look and work the same as they did the day i bought them.
