Help me with my next Atomizer purchase.

I need to order some more atomizers and while researching I've gotten a bit confused. LR atties apparently produce more vapor, TH, and give better flavor with the downside of having a shorter life. This is fine as I don't mind coughing up more cash for a better vape, BUT I've also read that they can reduce the life or downright kill a battery, which isn't cool... so whats that all about?

As far as brands go I don't know where to begin. Volcano sells a LR atomizer (2.0 ohms) for 7.99 but I have a feeling they aren't the best out there. Then there's talk of HH. 357's and hybirds and cisco's... all I'm looking for is a decent LR that won't kill my battery and provide a better vaping experience (though dripping) without breaking the bank.

Any advice is much appreciated.

I buy all of my atomizers in bulk at vaporkings. He has great prices and great customer service. I use 1.7 to 2.0 attys and cartos on my 3.7 devices. as far as lifespan, you will need to keep it wet. Vaporking attys are $4-$5 each so if I get a week or two out of one I feel that I've got my moneys worth.

It really depends on your battery........... a slim cig style battery won't last long with a LR atty and probably would even damage it. Those are around 280 mah batteries. My first ecig Ego w/ 650 mah hour could handle LR but it would need charging every 4 hours or so.

Now I run a Roughstack Maxi with 2400 mah battery. Figure I use about 3 milliamps every atty fire. I should be good for about 800 drags before battery is drained........... I rotate batteries every couple days. Of course it does take a good 6 or 7 hours to charge the darn thing........

Edit: Mostly I run Joye LR 1.7 attys or my current fav - 306 LR. Every vapor needs to try a 306 at one time or another. I seem to get bigger clouds and better TH with 306's.

im with the last couple posters...id really depends on the battery your using. I Love LR vaping! HV is overated IMO.
if you using slim cig sized batteries dont use LR.
if you have an ego type you can use LR but i think 1.7 / 1.8 is the lowest you would wanna go
if you have a kgo/riva/mod thats 3.7v you can use 1.5/1.7/1.8 ohm LR atties.

for each instance i only recommend the atties i love. Ikenvape all the way! google it. best atties around IMO.

I use a 3.7 box mod and a vv bottom feeder box mod. I also use Ego batts with the 1.7s

I friend who is an EE and avid vapor for a few years gave me the a reply I needed when I asked something very similar in IM on a different site. Stuff I learned in college but failed to apply here ( I switched my major, forgive me)..

In the single coil case, Most vapors have a sweet spot between 7 and 10 watts. Watts = heat, it can be directly converted to BTU. Not enough heat, low vape, to much heat, hot or even burnt vape (this does vary by surface area of resistance to liquid contact). If we work with a fairly common resistance build, which seems to be the case by the dozens of samples I have (most will never be used) it still comes down to wattage, which is joules law... V^2 / r = w. For example: 3.7 with a 1.5 would be 3.7 ^ 2 / 1.5 or 9.12 watts.

He linked me a spreadsheet that has the common ranges, and bolds the sweet spots based on resistance. I made my own, which since I'm not fixed voltage, gives a matrix with both resitance and voltage variances. Happy to send it off.

I know it seems very complex, but if you keep that one equation in mind it will help limit you buying stuff you can't use.

I got some ikanvape attys at 3.5 that I need to try.. heard some good things about them.. perhaps tomorrow, Once I get something to read tiny font on the sample I want to try..

Thanks guys. I'm using an Inferno 1000mAh battery. I got two LR Inferno Atomizers from a Volcano franchise store near my apartment. Both failed on me; one within 2 hours and one within 10 minutes. Needless to say I won't be buying them again.

I'm thinking of buying either in bulk from vaporkings or trying out a tank system like the Tube Tank from Volcano or the Smoktech from vaporkings. Any thoughts?

I love my new set up and have tons of vapor, got everything from madvapes except the e juice where I go to juicy vapor. Bought some from mad vapor but there juice seems to not put off alot of vaper. Was really not that bad tasting but for vapor was very low. I will only be buying my juice from juicy vapor sense I know I like theres. As for my set up, am using a tank that holds 5 ml, with a atomizer at 1.5 OMHS and a 510 EGo Battery at LR 1.25. SOOOOO love it now, and will recommend it to anyone. No leaks from the tank, and I can use a atomizer for 2 weeks before needing to put a new one in, and they only cost like 2.50 or something threw madvaper.

That bat will produce with a standard res atty and you might be happier for it. On the other hand, if you were getting good results with the LR (not burnt) and just want reliability, try ikenvape. I like their 901 Stealth and iO6 lines, but everything they have is fantastic. Pick up some of their wicked good cartos, too. I've been using their 2.5 Ohm and 3.5 Ohm Stealth atties and they've both been going about 2 months now with just a rinse now and then to keep them clean. Good stuff.

I'll second donna on Vapor Kings. Two thumbs up! His shop is local to me and they sell quality stuff. They know PVs, too, with great customer service. You can order there with confidence.

If you want solid and reliable vape, though, consider investing in a regulated PV. Your atties will last a lot longer and the vape is more consistent.

I have tried the cisco and it tastes really harsh to me, to burny tasting on a 3.7v device.

I like the LRs on a 3.7v and usually use them. I get the cheap ones at MadVapes.

Today, for no real reason I tried some dual coil cartos I had ordered a long time ago. They are awesome! Usually I am a direct dripper but these dual coil cartos hit like a LR and produce a whole lot of vapor. I don't remember the brand but I know I bought them at Madvapes.
