Help me with the math on Tobacco

So if I buy

1oz tobacco (48mg) bottle with 20%VG
and
2oz doubler tobacco (0mg) with 20%VG.

I should end up with
3oz of 16mg with 20%VG correct?

Now Geoff says the tobacco tastes best at 24mg or less. I previously ordered a 24mg bottle and was straight vaping it and it's awesome. But I vape a lot so I want to cut down my nic.

So by doing what I outlined above, will I still get a great taste?

P.s. There is no way to end up with 3oz of 24mg is there?

Your math is fine.
You would need an ounce of 72 (not available) plus the 2 ounce doubler to be able to get 3 ounces of 24.
You could buy 2 ounces of 48 plus a 2 ounce doubler, that would get you 4 ounces of 24.
