Emonty, do you really think I would be buying the eliquid? I HAVE BEEN BUYING THE FLAVORING! LOADS OF IT! I have now had over 250 ml of the pure concentrated flavour that all tastes like perfume! Try it for yourself PLEASE! Let me know how you like vaping something that tastes like dishwashing detergent. They even sent me some of their flavorless Ice Blade to replace what I wasted and it also tasted just like this da** perfume! Sorry but this is a very sore subject today.

Wow, Emonty, that would be so great of you. He's been onto the boss of FA to no avail and also in contact with a few other suppliers and drawn a blank at this point. Here's hoping cos he's really having a hard time without his main all-day, every-day vape.
Yeahhh I know the feeling. Another option would be to go into the classified and ask anybody willing to sell a batch that was made prior to 2010, who knows somebody does not like it.......
yes, we certainly thought of that, but he goes through a lot of this and buying 5ml bottles off hundreds of people may not be the best way forward, although it may come to that for sure.......
It really sucks and I feel for him, I will do my best tomorrow, they have to state what has been different to the "old" batches, or at least make an attempt to set this straight!!!!
Well, the interesting thing is that this perfumey taste has seemed present in their PG unflavoured nic juice that they sent him too (which should of course be more or less completely without extra flavour), so we're wondering if it's in the PG cos that's the one thing in common between both the pure flavouring and the unflavoured juice. Just speculation of course, but it's the only explanation in my mind.
Getting them to admit it however is another thing, specially if other people either haven't noticed cos they aren't regular users of it, or if they have noticed, just haven't bothered complaining......

Yes, I got the same response from Max. Send it back for a refund. I got some from another supplier that was the same perfume tasting stuff. So I just hope to heck they actually DO something about the problem.

When I contacted them they said I was the only one to mention this but when I asked a few people via PM about it they all said they were not happy with the change. The problem might be that many people that are buying it now think it should actually taste like that. I don't see how anyone could possibly like vaping something like laundry detergent or air freshener.

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread too..I use almost nothing except FA flavors to DIY my juice..and I too am a fan of Desert Ship and several others. I REALLY hope they haven't messed up..cause the FA flavors are the only ones that taste like they should to me. I've tried PA, Lorann's and a couple of Capella's...FA wins hands down. Desert Ship though is very distinctive and yes..it does taste and smell just like opening a brand new fresh pack of Camel unfiltered's...very hard to beat that smell/taste.
I sent the whole lot back to them a few weeks ago and have heard NOTHING.... not sure if they got it or not. They are super hard to get a message through to and I am just trying to get by on what very little desert ship I have left.
Now I have heard through the grape vine that they did have a little issue in the shop with trainees but they are going to sort it out... not sure if they will sort me out though. I am out a load of cash and wait any joy.....

OK Finally got some news. They responded to my email and said they had just made a fresh batch and I would receive mine soon. We shall see what happens. I have since found the I kinda like the Camtel also. So I can switch back and forth if necessary.
Hate to say it man but same thin happened to me with a different supplier. Sent me some samples of a flavor that was in the process of being made and MAN IT WAS GOOD! Then when it was done being perfected I ordered a bottle and it tasted like crap. Nothing like the one before. Sucks huh.

Good to hear Vapn! Hope it's the good Desert Ship again! I've current got Maxboro Ultimate, Camel Ultimate, Cowboy Blend and Desert Ship.
Of those the Cowboy blend is just plain nasty..nasty. I'm trying to use it up by adding just a drop into whatever else I mix, but it doesn't always work and I end up burying the flavor with Vanilla.
The Camel Ultimate I can handle in 1 drop/per ml doses if I hit it with a cappuccino/coffee flavor on top.
The Maxboro Ultimate I can mix with anything and everything and it's just fine..get a nice "flavored" tobacco vape using it. Usually go with 2 drops per 3ml bottle and add 4 drops of other flavors.
The Desert Ship though...that's the ONE! I mix it 1 drop/per ml and vape it straight with 901 drip tip...when I really am missing/craving that real cigarette flavor. It's so good, it's almost more of a pipe tobacco flavor. I know for sure why you miss it so much and I really do hope they get it back the way it should be!!
