Make sure the button is not in the off position. I know, too simple, but sometimes it happens.
Take out the battery and push the button. Does the contact point move down?
How is your battery fitting? You said the spring does not appear to have collapsed. Is the battery still reaching up to the firing pin?
There might be a problem in the connector. If that is the case then it needs to see Robert. You can always send him a PM for questions.

Button is not locked. Yes the contact point moves down. Batt reaches the firing pin 'cause the device is putting out voltage. I better pm Robert I guess. Thanks for your feedback nerak.
