Hello everyone.
I just need a little help mixing im up to about 360 dollars in supplies and still cant get these right.
I just bought 18 mg premixed nicotine 50/50 and im trying to make 10ml of capellas sweet strawberry.
Just curious how many drops i need. The vape shops near me make a awesome strawberry and im not even close.
Is there something im missing . And ive tried red hots, caramel, vanilla custard but they seem wrong also.

I don't use drops, I measure with syringes. I've never used that flavor, but for Capellas it seems like starting at 10% would be about right (1ml of flavoring to 9ml of base). If you like lighter flavored juice try starting at 5%. Good luck!

Cheers,
Steve

Edit I always give my Nic and flavorings a good shake before using them

Yup! I'm a syringe measurer, and use a percentage for my quanties.
For Capella, although I'm not too fruity as far as vaping goes, it's usually between 15 and 20 % depending on the flavor and your tastes, but I must admit that I don't use it very often. When I've mixed Capella flavors it's been at 15% or slightly more. Other marks can be from 2% to 25%, depending on the flavor strength. If your nicotine is already mixed with the PG/VG, obviously it will be a lower percentage when you add the flavors.

So, for a 10ml bottle at, let's say 20% you use 8ml of your PG/VG/Nic mix and 2ml of Capella's strawberry. Fruits don't need a long time for steeping, as tobacco flavors do, so you can try your new DIY juice the day after you make it. BUT it can get stronger after a week or 2 depending on the flavor used.
I'd probably do one bottle at 15% (1.5ml of flavor, 8.5ml of mix = 10ml) and one at 20%, to see the strength that is best for my personnel taste.
There are no strict rules on how much flavor you use in your juice, although 30% is a realistic maximum, as taste, not wanting to repeat a well known phrase (lol) is subjective ;) Some like it strong, some like it more delicate.

Happy mixing, have fun with it, and (hopefully :D ) enjoy your juices.:vapor:

Thanks how many drops in a ml?

Depends on the size of the dropper, viscosity of fluid, air pressure and too many other variables to be an accurate way of measuring. Get some 1 ml syringes before you go any further. Use the search on here and read all the posts you can about the flavouring you are using, have a look through the recipes, and if you're stuck, make a post. You will get there in the end if you stick at it.

So Cal
I have a Capella bottle of coconut flavoring, and that bottle with flavoring gives me 41 drops/ml. It may vary slightly with other flavors, but it should put you in the ball park if you don't have any syringes at the moment. You could start by adding 20 drops, and taste - then add more if you need to (that may be around 0.5ml so 5% flavoring for 10mls). I suggest starting with 20 just in case your bottle is wildly different from mine!

I use the sweet strawberry from 10% to 12%. When I have gone stronger to 15% it seems to get that "rancid" flavor (not sure how to describe that.) I have used drops of lemon extract to soften the flavor, but it seems to mute it very quickly.

A current favorite is .8 ml caps sweet strawberry, .6 ml Loranns cream cheese icing, 5 drops EM in 9ml of 70/30 PG/VG
