Help! My 510's taste like crap.

No matter what I seem to do I get a crappy taste from my TW 510 after refilling it. I've tried different fillers, liquids, new atomizers, cleaned atomizers, etc. and nothing seems to work. After I refill it I only get about 7-8 good vapes before it tastes like crap and needs to be filled again. This is ridiculous! I just want to have a reasonable cart life and a consistant vaping experience every time I fill a cart so I can leave the house with my ecig and not have to drip at every stoplight. I need help so I can get off these damn analogs already! I'm a noob to forums and e-cigs so if I'm posting in the wrong place if someone could point me in the right direction that would be awesome too. Thanks everyone.

Try using a 901 D shape cart. No promises it will be the answer for you, but I like it better than the standard 510 cart and the production is indeed more consistant for my vape experience.

Hope I don't get flamed for this, but look into getting a Vapor King from Vapor4Life. I got off the cigs with a 510 but I doubt I would have stayed cig free with a 510, hated all the dripping, cleaning, etc.
I am not paid or any of that stuff recommending V4L, I just know the product and customer service is the best, and very user friendly.

I have switched to the blue foam mod and also use both the e-cigs switching off every other hit. Last me all day. No bad taste. Just a thought but if you have a manual battery perhaps you are over doing the hit. The user manual says not to exceed a 5 sec hit on the button but that is what the manual says not what I`ve seen posted in the group here. Could be the juice you are using needs to be higher. I personally find the pre filled to be crap. Nothing even close to a good 24mg juice with using a 24 nic juice I also hit it less. I find the 510 wonderful

Have yet to try the blue foam mod. tried pretty much every other filler though (teabag,fluval, polyfill). I'll give it a shot. Also gonna try the straw mod that ive found on here (seperate from the blue foam) and see which works best. Thanks for the suggestions. I dont mind putting some work in in advance, just want to be able to walk out the door and vape with no problems. Anybody else got some suggestions?

I got the 901 carts and they werent much better aside from being able to hold the cig with my teeth which I like.

By far, the easiest mod is the spring mod:

I use the Straw/Scotchbrite mod for my 401's

Any of these will be 10-20 times better than the stock empty carts.

Sounds to me like you're using polyester filler--gets some pyramid tea bag material.

It they are manual batteries you could just drip on the atty only, I find this is about a cigarette worth of vaping, I dont even use the filler. GL and Welcome!

Just my 2 cents seeing I'm new to this also, but I have had pretty good luck with the blue foam and the poly, the tea bag didn't go so good for me. I have a 510 and am pretty happy with it, not that I've had anything to compare it to but maybe I just got lucky with the cart fill thing because I feel I'm getting good life out of the refills.

Welcome, MBblue! This is very much the right place.

The bottom line is it sounds like your atty coil is getting starved for juice from lack of good wicking. Lots of good suggestions to fix this, all of which are attempts to fix the chronic wicking problems of the 510 cart. I personally use a slug/straw mod with facial sponge slug. Will try the foam when I get near a pet store. PTB did not work for me at all, but then I was probably doing it wrong. But these are all about getting enough juice to the coil to keep it happy and hissing, but not flooded. Whatever does this for you stick with! Have fun!
