Oh no! The best caramel flavor on the market disappeared. I've been using it in my daily vape mix for the last few years. It was so good and now it's completely different. It now tastes like the disgusting burnt waffle stuff that TFA peddles as caramel.

I got it from madvapes. Caramel Extract. Like liquid gold. But I don't know if they changed the recipe or ingredient supplier or what. It's labeled as Supreme Flavors. Which I always just figured was a house brand for madvapes since I can't find any other information about them on the internet. The new stuff is still called Supreme Flavors Caramel Extract but it's completely different. Totally disgusting.

I don't know what to do. I don't make or vape anything other than my caramel apple mix anymore.

Does anyone know if anyone else carries this old caramel extract or any way to get it? Maybe who the original supplier was if madvapes just rebottled the stuff under their own Supreme Flavors name?

Serious vape help is needed.

Several sites sell both TFA and Hangsen and I'd recommend picking up a 10ml of TFA Caramel Candy and 10ml of Hangsen Caramel. Not great, but hopefully can see you through until you find something better. Together they're better than either alone imo plus they're not bad on coils.

Stay away from the Inawera Karmel. Flavor isn't that great imo and it's a serious coil gunker.

With everyone reformulating, it might not be that easy to find another great caramel that's easy on coils. I hope I'm wrong about that and I'll be keeping an eye on this thread just in case, and wishing you the best of luck in your search.

Edit: By the way, how was that caramel on coils, plus what apple are you using?

Did you try to make it with a different percentage of flavoring? New ingredients, new mixture I would say.

Ah, yes, been there years ago when TPA changed caramel. Had a great soft caramel that has been forever gone because of reformulation.

Good luck.
As one of my DIYers (Hoosier) that I trust states, it makes me sad to hear its gone. I am sure that Hoosier tried all different solutions to get the flavor back and when he says it is gone, it is a real bummer. Just for that reason, I'm going to go and order a couple 4 oz. bottles of a strawberry that I like before they change the flavor.

I trust his opinion too, a lot. Being somewhat new to DIY, and being a little obsessive, I find these kind of changes sort of disturbing, as it effects every previous review and recipe using (insert changed flavor). Having tried a few flavors lately that had been raved about in the past, I am left feeling like something must have changed. Hangsen's toffee is one example. Would be nice if the TFA "% suggested" list in the flavor thread made notes of approximate date changes.

On a related note, having read the full TFA flavor thread recently, I can't help but feel like there's a lot more knowledge out there than useful, shared information. Most flavors are said to be "very good," etc., without many actual notes on when they are useful to use, what they mix well with, or full descriptions of how they actually taste. There are definitely exceptions and users I'm truly grateful to like Hoosier and Bill. But as a new DIY-er, it's hard to even find a comparison of basic flavors like caramels, marshmallow, and vanilla. Maybe the info is out there and kind of lost in the fragmented nature of these forums, I just wish it was compiled in a more useful manner for us newbies. It doesn't take a whole lot of bad mixes and wasted orders to scare people away from DIY altogether. But I'll stick with it.
Sorry for the rant and good luck with the caramel search :vapor:
