Tried Firebrand and got a burning taste after an hour of use from their cartomizers. Just read a review about wetflame, apparently they are the best e cig out there according to a review site. Has anyone ever used wetflame before. Prices seem high. 100 for a starter kit. I am looking for a manual battery or an auto if the auto is really good. Great flavor, heavy vapor production. I want to refill the cartos too. I hear wetflame you cannot refill their cartos. Need help, anybody please.

Neither of these is a common brand from what I've read here on ECF. There are a lot of scam websites with a short list of vendors that are typically overpriced. I don't know what's compatible with firebrand but they resemble 510 style. Their website shows kit prices that are 2-3x higher than vendors here on ECF. There's a suppliers section with a lot of good choices with vendors that have reviews from members.

I've had good luck with Goodprophets and they have a variety of kits and cartomizers. Liberty Flights seems very popular here with good prices. Look at an eGo or riva or 510 kit.

You might want to start filling you cartos yourself - it's easy and there's lots of info here if you start digging. Keeping a carto wet is the key, called topping them off. Thinner juices, 75-80% pg, seem to flow best in cartos.

Most of us started out with an overpriced kit that didn't hold up, then we found ECF and started getting good juices and devices and lots more bang for your buck! Don't dive into another overpriced kit before you do a little digging here - the knowledge will make you a happier vaper and for less $. Good luck!

I recommend you research ecf and youtube. Your best bet is to pick up an ego style ecig (ego, kgo, epower) which is a 510 style pv. This will allow you to use the most widely adopted cartomizers and atomizers as well as different eliquids. Many vendors sell prefilled carts however, the Ego-T is a setup that has a tank you can refill very easy also.

Please don't believe any web sites that say some model is the best ecig or the highest rated ecig. That is just bs designed to leak you to that site. Ditto for fake testimonials and reviews. There is a whole seedy upper crust of ecig sellers who excel at marketing and bs.

re cartomizers - you keep them damp and they don't singe. Prefilled cartomizers are usually underfilled to keep noobs from killing automatic batteries. I use sealed manuals (like SmokelessImage Volt manuals which are a KR808D-1 threaded model) and I keep my cartos damp. I can get a week of use out of a carto. I use thinner juices, PG w/ 20% or less VG. Any juices from SmokelessImage should be fine too and I use a few Vapor4Life WOW juices (another KR808D-1 threaded model)

You current model may be fine if you keep the cartomizer damp. I even check prefilled cartos to see if they need a bit of juice (if I have a suitable flavor). But I usually use blanks.

You'll hear the name Riva

Riva E Cig Kit | Riva SLB Online | Riva Kit or google Liberty Flights. Good deal and you will be able to use the cartomizers etc. when you upgrade.

Excellent starter kit.

I think we need to start a Vape Mentor program. It's so hard to get over the learning curve when you're new. PM me if you have questions.

My extensive 5 weeks of experience In a nutshell - the smaller the battery the shorter the life of the ecig. Larger Battery = more hit = more satisfaction = less craving an analog. Buy something understanding that you may upgrade as you get used to vaping. Buy juice after checking out comments here and make sure to buy a variety - sample sizes can be a good thing.

Look around the forum and try to be open minded about different types of ecigs. They look insane at first but are superior (in my opinion) to many other brands.

Get to know some of the "common" terms like cartomizer, atomizer, battery, ohms etc. so that you make wise purchases. Ask lots of questions.

Everyone is here to help.

Ok Firebrand is some kind of rebranded 510 and rebranded Ego

Good threading 510 (the most popular threading), quality of Firebrand a mystery since Joye 510 and Ego are good, but many clones are also made and some are not as good.

I use Joye 510 manual batteries which are totally sealed on the threaded end and Riva 510 which is a good Ego clone.

If you got the slim one with automatic batteries, you have to watch out for juice leaks because you can kill or damage auto batteries most easily. There are few prefilled cartomizers for 510. Most people who use 510's use Boge 510 cartomizer blanks (3 ohm for slim 510, the fat model can use 3 ohm or the hotter 2 ohm). And they fill those with any of the hundreds of juices from dozens of vendors. I get the best results with thin juices, PG w/ 20% or less VG.

Volcano Ecigs may have some prefilled "Magma" cartomizers (Magma is their 510). Other than that there aren''t really any decent prefilled 510 cartos. Vaporkings.com have Boges prefilled with Chinese PG juice.

Firebrand has a video right one the site of how to refill your cartomizers
http://www.firebrandcigs.com/products/Hellfire-Cartomizer-Pre%2dFilled-%2d-OVERSTOCK-SALE.html
And with the blanks they show how to fill

---
If you want a good ecig with lots of prefilled cartomizers, KR808D-1 is the best choice. SmokelessImage, Bloogplanet, Halocigs G6 and with hotter cartomizers Vapor4Life. The first 3 have manuals that are obviously totally sealed on the threaded end and slightly longer charge but only allow a 5 second drag. Vapor4Life allows a 10-second drag and their manuals still have a hole int he end but it looks blocked off inside. I recommend the standard/78mm manual batteries for a 120mm ecig.
---

If you want a long charge model - you would use blank cartomizers with this (it comes with atomizer + cartridges, an unpopular way to vape, but atomizer + a drip tip is good for trying juices and vaping thick juices). Liberty-Flights.com, press the 20% off (upper left front page) then look at Riva 510. The Lite Bundle is under $30. And look at the black SE kit with a 2-click enable/disable. This would be like the big model sold by Firebrand but this is a real 3.7v model and very popular. Get a 510 drip tip and blank Boge cartomizers (learn on 3 ohm, then get the 2 ohm if you want hotter ones).

---

Re burnt tastes in general - there no device, no way to vape, that is capable of never giving burnt taste. When there is not enough liquid getting to the coil you get burnt taste. That can be from not adding juice soon enough, from using juice that is too thick to flow as fast as you vape it (typically high VG juices), any atomizer or cartomizer that has been overused can get gunked up and not vaporize as well leading to overuse which leads to burnt taste, built up juice residue (especially with juices that leave flavoring sediment behind), and is some cases design flaws that may need user correction (like with some kinds of clear cartos). LR low resistance atomizers or cartomizers (which should only be used on fat battery models and mods over 450mah) run at higher heat and it becomes even more necessary to keep things damp to prevent burning tastes, singeing of cartomizer stuffing, etc. But once you get the hang of it, it is certainly possible to vape with a minimal amount of burning tastes.

...DON'T GET RIPPED by UNSCRUPULOUS retailers!!!!!!...it might be tooting the ECF horn BUT, if you didn't find your ecig thru reviews here, you probably got ripped off...unscrupulous retailers have been taking advantage of folks fears and curiosity for awhile and the net is flooded with them.....
...all ecigs do the same basic thing, the biggest diff in all of them are the batteries and how the unit handles them...ruleof thumb is the closer to ciggy looking the unit is, the worse the battery life is...
a good ciggy sized unit with 1-4hr(continuous) batt life....
smokelessimage.com
vapor4life.com
bloogplanet.com
for a MUCH better batt in a Sharpie sized ecig
Riva510 from Liberty-Flights.com...6-7hr batts...around 30bux(excellent deal from an excellent vendor)
KGO from hoosierecigsupply...10+batt...42bux
E-Power...slightly larger with 12hr+ batts...kit prices from 42 bux and up... from hoosier, madvapes.com, crystalclearvaping.com and many others.....
the top three are all KR808D1 units
the next three are all joye510 units...
these two models are the most common and any accessory listed for a 510 will fit most all the 510s and anything listed for the KR808s will fit them...
good luck and happy hunting!!!!!!!!!!

One of the best suppliers in the country and well supported here on ECF is in NJ: Nhaler

I second the recommendation of either the E-Power 510 or the Riva 510 as good "beginner" PV's. I definitely would not get anything smaller in battery size than these two. The mini-KR808D models will have you needing a boat load of batteries as they only give you an hour or so before needing to be recharged.

After doing many countless hours of research I have decided to return my Green Smoke kit I got last week that uses cartos and ordered the Joye eGo - T 900mAh (Type B). I also ordered the x-lg tank and atomizers. Holds twice as much. I already planned on making my own juice and refilling the cartos just seems too time consuming for me. I watched the demo on this website and I was sold! Joye eGo-T 900 mAh (Type B) Starter Kit (EGOTSTK900B)

But I ordered mine through liberty flights. They have 20% off right now so it's only $55 for this kit with the 900mAh battery. I ordered 3 kits - (me, my husband and my mom) Best of luck to you!

which is what I ordered but from a different vendor and am happy as a lark and analoge free a month...

I like the cart as they tell me how much I am vaping and are CHEAP!

I ordered mine from Electronic Cigarette Supplies & Electronic Cigarette Refills for Name-Brand Electronic Cigarettes! E-Cigs from LiteCigUSA and had it all in 3 days from order.

I would reccommend the Mega Ego kit, order a spare atomizer, a pack of spare cartridges and JUICE!!!!

Watch your shipping costs...

i've got a volt, just as one battery is blinking another is fully charged. thats good enough life for me. 2 batteries can hold me all day.

for me personally, i still refuse to use anything bigger than a cig size even after over a year of vaping.

My vote if for an ego 1000mah battery . What you put on it is up to you . At the moment I am using the smoktech mega dual coil cartomizers for the capacity . They are low resistance so the battery does not last as long so that is why I recommend at least a 1000mah battery and a spare and a backup so 3 batteries . I like the boge 2ohm cartomizers but they don't hold much juice . Even the MDCC won't last a full shift for me at work if I want to keep them wet which you should do with a cartomizer . With an ego or ego clone you have so much to choose from in the way of cartomizers or atomizers that you can try different things to find what you like .

No it's not. If you are able to vape all day whenever you want and are an average to heavy vaper, it's accurate. 1-2 hours is the time you will get. If you vape for 5 -10 minutes every hour, it will last longer. But that is not the norm for many. And because it is not a "regulated" PV as the battery drains the performance gets worse.
