Hi all

Ive been a long term smoker who is looking at purchasing an E cigarette, bu the big question is what to get :(

Super Mini looks good and so does the titan 510 and one give some pointers

This is a decent get started kit and it's inexpensive so you don't have to feel bad if you move on to something else. Also Liberty Flights is pretty highly recommended by many here at EFC.

Swampey, as you are in the UK, it would be best for you to order from a UK supplier. Liberty Flights that Shannon has kindly given you a link to, also have a UK site. (Discount code ECR 69 for 15% off)

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

If you do go for their Riva kit, it comes with dry cartridges so you will also need to buy some e-liquid to fill them with straight away.

Lol swampey it is getting a bit like that :D Mind you it was a fair bit different when I started vaping back in July 2008. The only e-cigs available in the Uk where a super-mini, a mini & a penstyle. Oh & no e-liquid - had to buy expensive pre-filled cartridges.

yeh well im new to all this, just wanna get away from smoking roll ups

A question how long does an average cartidge last ?

It depends on how much you smoke. Most of us refill our carts it makes it cheaper. For me a cartidge lasts about an hr at a guess. I smoked almost 2 packs a day. If you refill them it's actually really cheap. There's ways to go longer between refills but I don't want to overload you right off.

I started along with most vapers with something that looks like a cigarette, but i soon changed my mind and purchased a Liberty Flights Riva 510 and im so glad i did. Its all down to personal preferance.

I started with this kit - Health E-Cigarette with 10 x high strength cartridges, and USB charger: Amazon.co.uk: Health & Beauty Its a nice little started kit and will let you no if you like to vape. and it still works now and i use it on occasion when i have no cartos filled for my Riva.

Thie was the kit i brought from liberty flights along with a range of juices and cartomizers - Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510 I love this kit as the battery lasts 1-2 days depending on use and i wouldnt turn back. Use this code at checkout an you get 15% off your whole purchase - ECR69

If you want a cartridge that lasts all day then i use these http://www.ecigwizard.com/shop/28-clearomisers i get through one in a whole day and i smoked nearly a pack of 20 a day so i can constantly chain vape.

All the best and welcome to ECF

Joe

You don't have to start with a fat battery model. 510 manual is a good starting place as long as you are aware that they have 180mah batteries which will last at most 2-3 hours for a light to moderate vaper and 1/2 that for a heavy vaper. But if you can charge then at work and carry a PCC for charging when you are out then that may be fine for you. It all depends on how long you need batteries to last. A manual (push-button) 510 with cartomizers is nice to vape and the 510 manuals are very safe from the kind of juices leaks that can damage auto batteries. There are also 510 Mega xl batteries which are longer (128mm w/ a cartomizer) and last 60% longer. If you don't know what a cartomizer is then watch the Videos for Newbie in the sticky threads.

And get your 5 posts or replies in New Members and and hour after that you should be able to ask in the UK forum. They will be more familiar with what parts and supplies are easiest to get in the UK.
