Help! Newbie. Seems I have 2 different allergies to both PG and VG. Suggest a mix for me to try?

ok. I simply can not vape this PEG400. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. It produces virtually NO VAPOR and I tried everything. 1st I thought my battery was dead, nope, then I thought my atomizer was cooked, change to a new one, nope, then I thought I might have added too much flavor, nope, no more vapor at 100% PEG. WTH? I have flooded my atomizers trying to get something decent out of it. If I try HARD I can get one or two good pulls before it turns into the nastiest tasting crap ever. It quickly tastes like I'm burning my atomizer when I not. ack!

I can even begin to tell if I'm allergic to the stuff as I can't seem to vape it!

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? I'm so disappointed. Every review I've read for PEG 400 claims to produce good vape. PS Got it from Totally Wicked. Is it possible that I got bad PEG400?

I think I'm done.

tootired - What PV/e-cig are you using? I would email totally wicked what you stated above and see what they say about the PEG not vaping. I would also ask them if it requires a higher voltage or LR atty for better results.

I must say I have admired your tenacity so far.

Have you tried loading a cartomizer with it? Flooded atomizers do not perform.

I hope you don't give up since you've been so determined.

If you have a flooded atty, you will get no vapor. I agree with trying a cartomizer.

UPDATE: Using a Riva 510; I got much better vapor results with the PEG 400 using a cart. I am having a small reaction on my lips, not too bad BUT......this stuff is sooooooooo nasty I don't want to vape it. NO LIE. I have mixed so many batches of different flavors and I can't find a mix that tastes remotely appealing. Even using 1/3 flavor in a mix does not come through or disguise the nastiness of the PEG taste. I know that taste is subjective but to me, this is like smoking rancid oil. Throat hit= acrid burn. It is oily and very bitter. I do NOT recommend this stuff. Honestly, this is the 1st stuff I've vaped that I thought might harm me.

So, there ya have it folks. I don't think I can vape. I wanted an analog so badly yesterday that I decided to go to sleep just to get it out of my mind. The sad part is that I turned the hubby on to vaping and he's enjoying himself and quit analogs. I'm so jealous that he happily vapeing and I simply can't. Thanks for all of your help and advise.

PS I did try a 20/80 VG/PEG mix and it tasted much much better but I instantly had a reaction.

I guess the "exception to every rule" applies here. I'm sorry you haven't been successful even after all you have tried. I hope you find another alternative that will work for you.
