I'm wanting to order some Juice from MBV and I'm looking at the 555 Menthol Flavor and the Iced tea flavor. I know for both of them (One for me one for the gf) I'm going to want 12mg liquid and not a lot of TH. I'm pretty new to vaping so I'm not sure about PG/VG levels. Is there anything I shouldnt smoke out of a Kanger EVOD with a Ego C Twist?(Both our set ups atm).

Any help would be appreciated. I'm still looking around for guides on vaping and all the different stuff I can do with vaping. Just wondering for now if theres anything I shouldn't smoke out of the EVOD

get some small bottles, some menthol smokers like myself went for that the first week or so then it turned nasty to me.

Alice in Vapeland has some really nice tea flavors and one 15 Foot Falls with a tobacco hint, that's nice my guy likes it.

Play around with the pg/vg. Try to go to a B&M (brick and morar) local shop and do some tasting to see what you like, your tastes evolve so go amounts you'll use in a week (5ml or so a day) I'm way over that these days but I moved up to more juice sucking monsters of tanks, but it's a good start. That throat hit comes from the nicotine content at 12mg they should provide that for you (that's where I'm at now I started at 24)

one of our starters was an evod set up with 1100mah vv battery they're a good start, don't go crazy with the start up kits you'll be moving up the vape food chain chasing flavor, and I was started on a rebuildable, it was too soon, read here, watch YouTube's get yourself educated about it, I'm still doing that, there's so much!!!

If it feels inadequate soon, as ours did, we went to an Innokin MVP(the ability to set vv and watts does change the juices flavor, seems each one has a "sweet spot" where it makes lots of vapor and tastes better) we use them for around the house and the car with some Kanger Pros and now it's V2s and the Mega, and I still use a little 900 eGo and Protank 2 with an air control valve and drilled out by Ed, (there's a post around here about all of that) or Vision Spinner or an Aspire battery for out and about on the go, to each their own.

there's a lot of information out there, take your time you've done the hardest part, and that's quitting and started vaping. Tastes change, as do the hardware you want you've got nothing but time. :)

Congrats on the quitting and beginning vaping!! :)

I didn't see it mentioned yet using tanks you don't want to use to thick a juice because it will not wick well. For tanks I would stick to 50/50 pg/vg you shouldn't have any problem with that. If you ever get into RDA's Or cloud chasing I would use a higher VG. VG is much thicker than PG.

I use a higher VG with Protanks, Kanger Megas and now exclusively use the Aspire Nautilus w/o any problems. Right now vaping on 20PG/80VG.

Here' some info on PG/VG -

100% PG: Very strong throat hit, with clean flavors and not much vapor production.
80/20 (PG/VG): Still very little vapor production, and a moderately strong throat hit.
70/30 (PG/VG): A little more vapor, a little less throat hit.
60/40 (PG/VG): Decent vapor with a noticeable, but not to overwhelming throat hit.
50/50 (PG/VG): An even mix, with quality vapor clouds and a soft throat hit.
40/60 (PG/VG): Noticeably larger vapor clouds and a reduce throat hit.
30/70 (PG/VG): Good vapor production and a minimal throat hit.
20/80 (PG/VG): Excellent vapor production and a very small throat hit.
100% VG: Very little throat hit, with noticeably sweet flavor undertones and massive vapor production.

I'm going to want ... not a lot of TH. I'm pretty new to vaping so I'm not sure about PG/VG levels.

I'm the same way. I don't like a lot of throat hit because I take big pulls off my RDAs. I like to go with 80% VG. There's no noticeable throat hit to me. Mt. Baker also has max VG as an option.

Is there anything I shouldnt smoke out of a Kanger EVOD with a Ego C Twist?

The EVOD comes with plastic clearomizers which will crack if you use some juices. Mt. Baker will post it on the page of a particular juice flavor if that juice is known to crack plastic tanks (this happened to my Kayfun's plastic tank, and I'm currently waiting for a replacement from FastTech, but I think another company's juice caused it, because there was no warning on the flavor I was vaping). MBV also has a page that lists known tank-crackers. If you want to vape tank-crackers, consider getting a Mini Protank II for your EVOD battery. It's made of glass, and it's just as portable as the plastic clearomizers that come with the EVOD starter kit. It's also reasonably priced. Obviously, you have to be a little more careful with glass tanks because they will break if you drop them.

Are you using the stock coils on the heads or have they been modified. I tried using an 80-20 vg/pg back in the day (4ish months ago lol) in my kanger protank and I was hardly wicking so I was getting many dry hits I tried everything letting it sit, pulling hard without firing to get the coil wet and didn't have any luck I even tried 2or 3 brand new coils.

Deciding on flavor is a preference of personal taste. When you're looking for one, my recommendation is to try to get small amounts so you're not wasting money until you find something you like. Try not to get caught up in building a collection of eJuice you're never going to use :) It's fun to try different flavours but you are switching from regular cigarettes and want to make the switch successful, you really need to find some that you can consider an all day vape to replace your regular cigarettes.

This is purely high level, Ejuice generally consists of

Propylene Glycol (PG)
- Will Give you More Throat Hit
- Thinner Liquid so more PG will give you thinner liquid
- Can Dry out your mouth and some people of issues with too much PG

Vegetable Glycerin (VG)
- Will Give you more smoke, and one or more combinations of ingredients to make up the flavor.
- Will give you more smoke
- Thicker Liquid, makes your ejuice thicker which can affect performance of some setups with higher amounts.
- Sweet so gives a little sweetness to your flavours (not a bad thing)

Flavouring
- Can consist of multiple ingredients to add flavour

The standard ratio thends to be 70%PG/30%VG. A lot of people seem to find this a good combinations. Myself personally, I find with heavy vaping, my mouth dries up and I get soreness from vaping too much PG. I like a 50%PG/50%VG mix, I think it's a better start for most people because you can move from there. Want more throught hit, up the PG, want more Vapor, up the VG. Of course the results vary from ejuice to ejuice and flavoring especially if it includes water can also have an effect and some flavouring can simulate that throat hit without additional PG. You might like one flavor at 50%PG/50%VG but you might like another better with a different combination. This information should give you an idea but really it when it comes down to it, it's personal perference. Some people like the 70/30 combo, some people like 50/50 and some just plain like 100%VG. Just buy small bottles, give them a try and find your perference on your favorite liquid.

I was using Teleos Gamma in a nautilus tank with BVCs and I would get decent hits of vapor but no flavor hits. That's the problem with high VG juice in those setups. They produce vapor very well, but have no flavor

Yeah I have one 30ml bottle of stuff I like and I'm going to get a couple 10 ml bottles. Taking another trip to AltSmoke this weekend to try some more flavors. I want to start getting into some crazy custom stuff here soon. I have a full machine shop that I can use to do whatever I want and I feel like I'm going to put it to use here soon. I haven't even started looking at custom things people have done yet but, i have a feeling theres a world of stuff. For now the Twist+EVOD is working great with nice clouds and it isn't harsh with a decent throat hit. And this watermelon flavor is great. Thanks for the input everyone! I can't wait to get some time to really start looking into vaping. It's been a busy 2 weeks but I've still managed to stick with vaping! 0 Cigarettes.
