Hi everyone,

May I be the first to say that I can be a complete idiot sometimes!! I got my Z-Atty Pro on Monday morning... ripped out the wick it came with as I wanted a higher resistance, and set about building my first wick/coil. I made a mess the first time, but the second one was perfect, considering my complete lack of experience. I was really enjoying it, so I decided to take THAT one out and try another one at a higher resistance... big mistake. I wanted to clean it as everything was covered in juice and a bit slippery... when taking off the wick/coil, the whole center post came off as it was stuck to the top screw (bad design there?????????)... then as I was rinsing the unit, I heard something hitting the sink, and I knew something was up. As you'll know by the title of this thread, it was the center pin and the spring saying bye bye  Now I have a 160 Euro paperweight

I contacted the guy I bought it from locally, and his response was "Why did you do that, it came ready to vape!!!"... I know, I know, he's right... BUT, I am where I am, and there are no spares available. Plus I'm in Germany which makes it a pain in the *ss to get spares from the states.

My question is... Is it possible to replace the innards of the ZAtty with common parts from a hardware store or the like? If so, what should I be asking for? That would save me a lot of time and money and hassle etc. As I never saw the parts, I have no idea what size they should be. Any ideas???

Here's the beauty I destroyed!!!:

Here's what I have left:

Soooo, I may know nothing about DIY, but I like to improvise :D

I commandeered a safety pin and a screw, and tried to see if I could do something homemade...

I cut the screw -

Added a safety pin -

Cut that -

Pin first, then screw, then center post = too long -

Re-cut the screw -

Tested it... and it works!!!!!

Well, I hope it works... I'm going to roll a wick now and see how it goes......... :D
