So I have an mvp2 with a nautilus aspire tank.... its been WONDERFUL up until today

I looked at the nautilus and the threads seem fine (I have another one at my house so ill try that when I get home and sds if its the tank... visually the threads on the tank look fine though)

Anyway the threading is messed up, presumably on the mvp end.... it screws on kinda sideways and barely stays on! What can I do to fix this?

Im assuming there's no easy fix to it and the only possibility is a tap and die... I hope I'm overlooking something more do-able for me though...

Also im worried that if I keep screwing a tank on there, its going to mess those threads up too!

I have a spare mvp fortunately.... but I really dont wamt to have to toss this, since It still works perfect aside from the stupid threads..

Any tips would be greatly appreciated, thank you

Bummer. Never happened to me. My only problem with it was the firing pin lowered so I just have to adjust my atty pins now. My only other issue is carpal tunnel from depressing that annoying firing button[emoji38]. Thread slowly and see if you can get it to attach properly. Tapping that will be risky bidnazz..

This adapter may do the trick.-> eGo to [eGo] Adapter

Yes, this what I've done. Easy, painless and you retain the ego connection. The other option is to disassemble and replace ego/510 connector with a 510 connector. Fat Daddy is one of a couple that people have used. Search forum for step-by-step instructions that were posted.

Yep its definitely the mvp with the threading issues, not the tank.

Scewed my tank onto my backup mvp and it screwed on more securely then it ever has in the past

To be fair, thw first one I was using someone gave to me, so its seen quite a bit of use. Still though that sucks !!! I planned on having a second one for a backup alot longer then this...

Im going to look into the idea of the adapter that someone posted, sounds like my easiest option, If it works

Thanks everyone for your replies! !

Off topic, but find yourself a very small diameter o ring and you can stretch it over and then under the firing pin. No more sliding down. Works PERFECTLY! ;)

I have a few VT 510 connectors and was about to change the threads on my MVP2. There's nothing wrong with it other than the 510 pin always getting pushed down and having to pry it up even with a #60 o-ring. The VT connector is so much nicer.

I took off the top cap and pulled out the center pin and silicon bushing at the base and drilled out the rivet holding the 510 housing. I noticed the top cap is metal and not plastic. I was looking at the sleeve that holds the 510 housing and it's pretty strong. The size is 9.4mm. Almost perfect to tap for the VT 510 connector. Problem is that I ordered the tap (m10x.5) from China and it's enroute so rather than drill it out or dremel the sleeve and use the nut, I'd rather cut threads into the sleeve and install the 510 into that so I put it on hold. I'll do a write up with photos if anyone's interested.
