Ok so I like to vape a 60/40 or 70/30 juice 24mg or 18mg strong. So with that being said what nic base would I buy? This is whats really confusing me to start DIY juices. So lets so I buy this nic base I have to get it in PG mix or can u get it in VG mix also anyways? So do I just get a bottle of VG to mix with it? Or do I need a bottle of both PG and VG to mix together? SO all the links below will I need them all to start? So if I do need them all how do I calculate the Nic base being PG or do I just calculate it as just being nic and dont worry about it having PG? On Friday I am going to get some supplies so I thought I would ask early to get some good advice. Looking forward to becoming a MAD SCIENTIST. LOL

120 ml of 100 mg Flavorless Nicotine Liquid NIC Base

500 ml of Vegetable Glycerin USP Grade Kosher Certified VG Base

500 ml of Propylene Glycol USP Grade PG Base ??????

you can get nic base in VG or PG, it is your choice. i prefer to get the nic in PG, as it is easier to work with (ie thinner). i also buy VG and PG to mix with, so you can easily reach any nic MG and any PG/VG ratio that you desire. PG and VG are pretty cheap, get em both so you have more wiggle room.

i am sure you have seen it mentioned, 100mg nic is no joke, be carefull when working with high mg nic.

Wow, this is a popular confusion.

How about 100mg/ml Nic in PG. A base mix of 50/50 and some flavoring we'll assume to be PG just because it is the most common. (Base mix is just plain PG&VG)

For a 10ml bottle assuming 15% flavor and 24mg we'd have:
2.4ml of 100mg/ml PG
1.5ml of flavoring (PG)
6.1ml of PG/VG-50/50 so 3.05ml of each.
=70/30 PG/VG final mix

If the Nic was in VG = 55/45 PG/VG. (Aproximately)

I use both PG and VG in my mixing, but stick with just PG for my nicotine. I also have my PG/VG mixed in bottles with different ratios. 3 bottles. I have them labeled with the ratios, but I call them "Little", "Some", and "Bunch" for how much VG they put in my final mix.

I don't really worry about the final ratio. I spend some time worrying about Nic calculations and flavoring percentage because I think that is important. If you got 80/20, would it not work for you? If there are reaction issues for your body, or equipment needing a certain mix, then it is worth worrying about.

I find different ratios work better for different recipes.

So, since you're going for higher PG ratios, I'd suggest going with PG Nic and use a mix of PG & VG to cut with. Feel free to worry about that final ratio, but it's just not my thing.
