Hello, my name is Kiernan new to the forum but have been lurking for a while, just the first time I have needed to post. I wanted to post this in ask the vets, but like I said it's my first post. Anyways, long story short I've got everything to start making my e-liquid, but I have a question about storing my diluted nicotine. I have two things coming from NicVape 125ml of 25mg/ml in pure VG, 125ml of 50mg/ml in pure PG, and one from NudeNicotine 120ml of 100mg/ml in 50/50 VG/PG called Nude Armor V3. I have some Amber glass Boston round bottles coming from Specialty Bottle, and I was wondering about proper storage of said products.. I know and am still looking into safe use and safety procedures, I have no children in my house and have lock boxes for lab equipment etc.. But my real question is would it be a proper thing for me to do to go out and get a vacuum sealing machine with a hose, and maybe get some round vacuum seal canisters to keep my nic in, in the freezer? Maybe cover them in duct tape to prevent light coming in when I do get into my freezer, since said canisters I'm looking into getting are clear. Sounds like sound plan to me, but just wondering if this would be best, if I should just forget the vacuum sealer and just put the amber glass in maybe some double lock zip locks and call it a day or what?? Thanks for any answers and I appreciate your time sorry for silly question.

I have my nicotine stored in 500 ml clear glass bottles. I put them in the box the bottles shipped in (it is sturdy with nice dividers) and then put that box in the freezer. I take one 500ml bottle as it is needed and divide it out into amber 60 ml bottles. I take one of those out and keep it in my mixing box, the rest go back in the freezer. That way, I don't often have to open the box of my big bottles and expose them to light.

Hey guys thanks for the replies greatly appreciated. So I think what I got from this is.... That the nicotine will probably be fine without my paranoid behind going out and spending almost 100$ on a vacuum sealer when it should be (mostly) fine & not degrade toooo much as long as I am careful. I went ahead and bought some more bottles.. amber glass with the Euro style caps, I like the idea of being able to get some of my liquid without having to expose it to anything unnecessary. (Link to Euro bottles - Essential Oil Amber Dropper Bottles | Specialty Bottle )
Any comments on these type of bottle? Never used personally but I like the idea.
Thanks for the help everyone. A vacuum sealer is still on my mind until someone tells me I'm crazy or absolutely don't need it :)

Welcome to ECF

Most people store their nic in the freezer.

One person here is currently vaping 100 mg,/ml nicotine that has been in the freezer for ,6 years snd still good.

Before going nic free last December i used to get a liter at a time and break it up in 8 120 ml #1 plastic bottles.

#1 plastic can handle the low temps without becoming brittle and breaking in the freezer.
When the bottle i was using got low i would grab a bottle of nic in The freezer and allow it to reach room Temperature before opening the bottle.

Thank you much for the replies!! A vacuum sealer does seem a good idea to me.. I found a steal on containers and a machine with hose accessories for about 55$, and I still might do it. I will probably use most of the nic I've got before anything will happen anyways. I wonder if anyone has used the Nude Armor nicotine v2 or v3? Would like to know about how it stands against regular diluted nic thanks guys I'm so glad I have someone to ask my questions to appreciate you all & any replies n advice

My first set of flavors coming from NicVape specially formulated for vaping supposedly. Also mostly TFA and Capella's. A mix of those three, mostly first two. Mostly sweet flavors and fruits, creams and custards. Also have sucralose sweetener, ethyl maltol 10% in pg, and smooth from TFA coming I'd like to know more about the site says it adds 'body' which interested me. Thank you much I'll head on over to diy e-liquid forum :)

Welcome to ECF!

Whileit might be overkill, I bought Argon gas spray at a local beer/wine shop here in Chicago. You spray the Argon in to the bottle if you open the cap. The Argon is heavier than air and protects the nic. Argon is used in Nude Nicotine Armor v2. I have half a gallon and am buying another gallon when it goes on sale.

If you want to be on the cheap side, you can make your own homemade vacuum sealer. It won't really pull a vacuum, but it will get almost all the air out of a bag. All you have to do is fill a kitchen sink full of water, put whatever you want sealed into a ziplock bag, then slowly dip the ziplock bag into the water. As it goes down, the air will get pushed out by the water. When you get to the point where the zipper is, just zip it closed. Instant homemade sealer.
