Hey guys I have 2 bottom coil glassomizers that I like alot (Aspire et-s & nautilus), I have 2 RDA's (Trident & Brass Monkee), 2 spinner batteries for the glasso's, awesome mechanicals (JDtech Copper Stingray, and Copper Nemesis by hcigar) for both RDA's.

-However my Vamo is lonely now.

SO! I think it's time for me to step into uncharted territory between the two worlds, and I want to scratch that vapers impulse itch.
RBA's were always the coolest looking toppers to me, especially when I first started, they looked like technological contraptions that were made by NASA. I'm liking the idea of the device doing the dripping for me more and more lately as I'm out and about more often. To give you an idea of what I've been favoring so far, here's what I've come down to after some research.

#1 The prometheus RBA: pretty much everything I'm looking for practicality wise, and really similar to what I prefer for dripping too. It's got a great deck with DUAL COIL capability, which isn't that important but nice to have. HUGE AIRFLOW, this is really important to me, 1/8th holes are awesome to me in the RDA world, and the prometheus has 2 on it's adjustable airflow (single or dual coil). Plus it's from grand vapers whom I trust because I had an amazing experience with their Trident already. I don't like how the prometheus goes agains gravity, however I think cotton will do it's job, and I can always tilt.

#2 The russian 3.1: I know this one works well, because it's impossible not to hear good reviews for it, and I'll be going with a clone by SvoeMesto (the one with 4 wicking channels instead of 2 in the juice well) because it's pretty unanimous that they are just as good if not a teensy bit better (besides the buttery threads). I do like how the russian works with gravity, and think I can fix any flooding issues myself.

#3 The T1: I put this at number 3 because I oh-so-want this but won't pay $130 AND wait for Tatroe to build it and ship it out, it's pretty much not even an RBA more like a manual dripper but I thought it belonged here. Once I get a few nice paychecks in and it's justifiable enough (maybe my birthday soon :p) I'll pre-order this puppy along with the big nasty. (man I like tatroe! These are the only two products they make, and they both are high on my wishlist)

- I would be eternally grateful if those of you who've had experience with RBA's could lend some wisdom on the matter, like I said I won't be waiting long because I trust my research somewhat, but ECF has never let me down! Thanks in advance y'all! :vapor:

+1 for the russian

I was debating between a russian or kayfun and ended up getting a kayfun which is supposed to be very similar - and I do not regret my decision at all. As you said, you should be able to fix any flooding issues yourself. The only time I get flooding is when I top-fill with this thing, and I even found a way to do it without it flooding after a few experimental fills.

Though I will caution on you on this: I don't know if the russian has a larger air hole than the kayfun, but the kayfun would benefit if the air hole were slightly larger (or there were 2).

Darnit I gave in! I'll be buying the russian 3.1 one day because of it's gorgeous looks alone, but my curiosity got the best of me and I went with the prometheus. I think because I've seen so many reviews for the kayfuns that I know exactly what I'll be getting but I don't know much about the prometheus except for a few people blowing big clouds on youtube, so I'll give it a whack. Plus it looks more my style for the coil building

I started dripping with the igo-L's and I now have 3 and love them. I am waiting on a Kayfun Lite and may change my mind (I'm a woman, that could happen) but so far.... I have really enjoyed the igo's and they are super easy to rebuild and use. Good luck to you. I would worry about if you should get the Kayfun or the Russian or something else........eventually you will try them all if you like dripping. heehee Good luck and happy dripping.

Oh yeah the russian has 1/8th airflow wide open too :D, man shes good looking too. I'm thinking she may be the winner! I just have a feeling if I go with the prometheus I'll be getting alot of dry hits. Thanks guys, now I know this rba is a good one.

Where did u get the russian had 1/8th (3.2mm) airhole lol.

have fun with the promethius. if its your first genny, be patient with it. the work you do will be rewarded in the vape. be persistent, and it will pay off.

its more work to set up a genny, but the maintenance is basically nil. other attys are a breeze to set up, but need constant wick changes. both styles are good in their own regard. i own both styles and like both.

that tatroe t1 is new to me. after a brief look at the photos, i cant see how liquid gets to the coils. the deck appears to be 100% solid with no holes. :/

Here's the thing. ..You're talking about at least two VERY different experiences. My suggestion would be to spend $20 on an RSST and $20 on a Kayfun/Russian clone... And see which system suits you more. You see the popularity of Kayfuns, and I love mine. It's my work tank. But I love gennys too. And good points were made about those as well. At home I use a Kraken and a Zen or I drip!
Try the styles cheaply then make an educated decision based on YOUR experience!!
As to the T1... It looks to be similar to the Kayfun style in Tank mode??? But you can drip with a Kayfun... Maybe just astetically diffetent???

Try a helios, it'll give 'super easy' a new meaning for you

I'd say if you're not super experienced in building then go with the Russian.
If you're willing to learn and don't mind frustration and trial and error then go with the Prometheus.
In my honest opinion there is nothing, other than a dripper, that can touch the flavor and vapor of a well set up genesis atomizer.

A lot of people seem to put them down, but I think its because they are more difficult to build right and people want the easy way out with the Russian/kayfun. I own a kayfun myself and would pick my Kraken genesis over it any day of the week. I use SS rope with a ss mesh sleeve on her at .7/.8 ohms. This wicking setup will last me months before I have to rebuild. All I do is rinse under hot water and dry burn until the coil glows, good to go another few tanks.

I have a Prometheus and a Kayfun Lite+ (not a Russian per se, but close enough). Two very different experiences, but 2 excellent RBA's.

I love my KFL+ but I find myself reaching for the Prometheus more often TBH. I have mine set up in auto-dripper mode with cotton and the vape is second to none. The KFL+ is really nice don't get me wrong, but I actually like the 'challenge' of setting up a genesis-style atomizer properly....

The Prometheus's build quality is EXCELLENT....expensive but worth every penny IMO.....Like I said I love Kayfun-style atty's,/ but I really think you'll like the Prometheus...

Little late but just for my two cents I've tried a little of every thing I can get my hands on and from what I've learn you better have some patients with the Prometheus it's a great little guy but takes time to set up right if your running cotton but does run a great vape on Dragon coil setup I found out.

Whoops your right, the svoemesto 4 channel one I was looking at has 1.8-2mm airflow. I think in my wishful thinking while I was watching rip trippers review of the 91% he said 1.8mm airflow and my brain heard "1/8th" for some reason. Oh well I bet it can be drilled out to a 3/32 pretty easy, maybe just maybe, a 1/8th I don't know I haven't looked at it yet. Is the airflow canal truly an L? Or does it have any twists and turns?

nice, that's good to know thank you. I'm planning on using the fill hole as a 3rd cotton wicker, and the russian will be on it's way probably next week. :p

Yeah just from looking at some pictures of the deck, (horn tooting alert) I'm an excellent builder/wicker, and I'm almost positive I can make the prometheus work great, it'll be like having my RDA with my juice bottle underneath, no big difference. I'm not one to complain if I have to tilt it every now and then, hell as much as I accidently tip it over I'll probably keep the wick nice and wet lol.

-Plus I'm personally used to taking my drip tip off and dripping already, so if I get a dry hit more often, it's back to old habits no biggie. I'd prefer dry hits over flooding anyday, because you have to wait for flooding to be vaped away, however with a dry hit just tip, suck with airhole blocked, or drip with your bottle! I plan on trying both anyway, they will be used probably 1/3rd of the time anyway.

I'm a pretty darn good builder if I say so myself, hell I haven't seen a person on youtube that's built a better coil than me anyways (which isn't hard to do I know :p). I looove a challenge, and I've been getting bored with RDA perfection lately lol. I have some stainless steel waiting for the prometheus actually, I haven't tried it at all yet but it seems to be popular among genesis users. The coil pictures I always see on google all look so gunked up, is it because stainless heats up with the coil? Or maybe just because it can burn within the wick itself. I'm a huge fan of cotton just for it's wicking speed, but if ss works just as well I'll give it a shot.

-challenge accepted though  I think I'm going to whoop it's ...., I'll make it work for me like a poolboy. (urr girl)
