I managed to pop one of the end caps off of one of my OCD tanks and for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get it back on. I have lived the I-ring and the lip of the tube. It just seems that no matter how flat I approach it, the o-ring gets bunched up and I just can't get it in there. What's the trick? Thanks in advance. C

OCD normally sends spare o-rings with new tanks. Did you save them?

If not, they do sell extra o-rings on the website for like a buck.

I agree, the IBTanked caps fit extremely tight, which is a good thing. There's really no need to remove the caps once they are in place. To clean the tanks, I lay a wash cloth in the sink and wash them in mild soapy water, rinse, and allow to dry. If necessary, you can use a Q-tip to clean inside the tank without removing the caps.

Once an end cap has been removed, be sure to lubricate the outer o-rings and rim of the glass tube with e-liquid. Use a twisting motion to put them back on the tube. It will be difficult, but with perserverence it can be done.

From what I've experienced I believe it's possible that some juice will cause o-rings to swell. I don't know the science behind juice causing swollen seals, but I know for a fact certain chemicals and what not can cause o-rings to plump up, so I figure it's possible for eliquid to cause this as well (or potentially just certain flavorings)

I have one Ibtank that I had reserved for Pluid, so nothing but pluid was ran through this tank (probably at least 300ml of the stuff) When I stopped vaping pluid I took the tank apart for a thorough cleaning (the flavor is incredibly difficult to remove from your gear) and I noticed that the o-rings had swollen up quite a bit, and it was totally impossible for me to get the end caps back on.

Luckily I have a stash of replacement ibtank orings so I just threw some new ones on there, but the old ones were definitely swollen. I compared it to my other Ibtanks and they all went back on easily (by comparison, but still tight) so the only thing that makes sense is the juice causing the orings to swell up.

I'm just throwing this out there as you might run into this problem over and over again if your juice is causing your orings to swell. Although it's a minor issue anyway, I don't imagine you are going to be compulsively removing your endcaps just for fun.

I adore the IBs, but I find that cartos simply do not move in them! I have a REALLY hard time pushing cartos up or down. Sometimes, it is literally impossible.

Normally to refill, I remove the top cap, and I found the secret to putting it back on more simply is by using a tank tool of some sort. I use the stiletto drip tips and voila!

I believe I know what you're talking about - it's the "rubber" washer between the caps and the glass, not the 0-ring. When I removed the cap I had a he** of a time getting it back on. It seemed no matter how I pushed it down the washer would squish out the other side. Other people have had trouble with it too. I ended up pushing it down as hard as I could on a desk - definitely not safe, since the glass might have broken. I got it on, but it sticks out a little all around the edge.

IBtanked sells extra washers on their site, which I bought and I also talked to OCD about it and he said he would look into it. I'm not holding my breath though, he has a lot of stuff going on and may have forgotten. I have a feeling it might be juice reacting with whatever the washer is made of and causing it to expand. I don't usually take the caps off and I don't plan to again, it was a nightmare.

ETA: I should have read the other posts - we all said pretty much the same thing. Oops.
