Okay so I'm shopping via Liberty Flights because HG wound up wanting to charge me 24.00 to ship from China... anywho.

I need these answered ASAP

I am aware the eGo will last ATLEAST 6 - 8 hours (full charge) for a chain vaper and up to a full day if used with ration.

So my Question is I see the Riva 510 and Riva 901... can anyone who OWNS these tell me your average battery daily life on a FULL charge?

I'm looking for something that looks like an eGo, that will last me at least 6 hours that I can buy on LF's site for under 50.00

So if you have the Joye eGo (650mAh and 510 atty), Riva 510 (750mAh and 510 atty 2.2 ohm or 1.7 ohm LR) , or Riva 901(901 Atty - 3.2 ohm resistance)... please help me with how long your battery is lasting (if you did get it from LibertyFlights please note that as well.)

As I said I'm buying one ASAP which is within the next hour. HELP HELP HELP!

If you had to pick out of the 3 which would u prefer battery life wise? I don't care about vapor and TH (I know how to fix that problem)

I don't have any of those batteries, but a bit of electronics theory tells us which will last the longest. The 901 Riva with a 3.2 ohm atty, because it has the highest resistance and the highest mAh, will draw the least amount of current and provide the longest battery life.

My preference of those configurations would be an LR 510 with a Riva battery because I like hotter vapor and would be willing to sacrifice battery life to get it.

Okay awesome info! Based on the eGo and Riva 901, which would you say lasts longer? still the 901 because the eGo isn't a true 3.7? [I checked the battery test and it show it only running 3.017 with a load)

Good question, I'm not sure what voltage the Riva runs at under load, but I believe it's regulated down to roughly the same as an eGo. That could be wrong though. I searched and tried to find an answer and couldn't come up with one.

To figure out how long a battery will last, first calculate the current with Ohm's law.

I - Current
V -Voltage
R - Resistance

I = V/R

(eg. 3.1 / 2.5 = 1.24 amps)

Then figure out how many hours it would last under constant load.

Hours = (mAh rating / 1000) / I

(eg. (650 / 1000) / 1.24 = .52 hours)

Edit: Keep in mind that this is the time it would last with the button pressed continuously. Since you only press the button for a few seconds at a time, it will last for several "real time" hours.

Either way, someone else will likely find this thread and it will prove useful info. :)

I agree, but I didn't want the OP to invest a lot into it only to find out, like he did, that it was out. Since he seemed in a bit of a hurry, I was just giving him a heads up so he could adjust his search accordingly. I agree that it's great information to have before making the decision which to get and appreciate the time spent in simplifying what can sometimes be an overabundance of info.

Look no one know the "average" battery life - because none of us are average.

From what I understand Rivas and egos are basically the same as far as how much they put out under load so basically the vape you would get from them with the same atty and the same juice would be the same.

Given that say a 650 ego lasted you 6 hours of vaping then a 750 riva would probably last around 7 and a 900mah ego would last around 8 and a half hours of vaping - I am not saying that this is how long that would last you - or even the average. It is just the more mAh the more time with everything else being equal

Some of us can blow thorugh batteries fast as well - it depends on so many factors. I vape a lot (a LOT lol) and my atties get hot (its fine they like it but that's to illustrate how much I vape on it) and I can burn through an eGo in about 4 hours. I burn through my Buzz which uses 2x880mAH 3.7v batts in around 8 hours...
Some people can make them(both eGos and Buzz) last all day, an easy 24 hours worth.
I'm not one of them :)
Take all the 'battery life' answers under advisement, as YMMV (it really will).
