They must be having problems with the last of their stock on Rivas that they had because I too had 3 go bad in one weekend (two were from the same kit). One wouldn't stop running once I screwed the atty onto it...scary. Abe or Ty will get back to you and make it right...not to worry. They are the greatest people and stand behind their products that they sell! Just hang tight.

Just sent Ty a email. one of my Steel Riva SE batteries just pack it in after only 3 weeks.:(

Update. The battery is not dead however it is stuck in constant power being applied to the atty without pushing the battery.

Update #2 within 15 min of sending my email to Ty he replied with a solution.

This is why I picked LF in the first place and the reason I will stay with them.

I guess I should have been clearer in my first post about my battery dying. It was possessed and there is no saving it. Luckily I have 3 Riva batteries (if I can pry one away from my wife) I can use two to get by. My Riva took two weeks to get north of the border so I pretty much expect the same for the replacement battery.

I am not in panic mode yet but if the second SE battery goes that would be a different story altogether.

Just out of curiosity, are these the new SE Rivas that are failing or the standard ones? It really sounds like a bad batch...

Katya, I believe the SE's are the ones with the silver band. Mine were gold band and less expensive so I think they are rgular Rivas. But, they were two slightly different styles- the bad one had the word Riva in larger text, thicker metal at the top of the battery fitting, and the cuts/ridges in the top are deeper than on the good battery. On another thread I think someone mentioned that the older ones were a Hello Riva if that means anything.

Thanks. Salt just announced that they are all the true 3.7v so the point is moot anyway.

I have the silver band SE and it works great, for the record. Of course, I know that this piece of information doesn't help those who have problems. As a matter fact, it probably just irritates them, so I apologize. :)

Katya I have the silver band SE as well but as you know one of my batteries went haywire on me. Up until yesterday it was working great. So far the other battery shows no signs of dying but that doesn't mean it won't.

I love the Riva SE and will be ordering another soon and I am very confident that if there is a problem with it LF will be there to take care of it.
