Both of mine have a gap. My BF magma is about the same as yours. My regular magma is worse! I never found an easy fix. Drove me crazy at first but it doesn't seem to affect performance.
It's driving me crazy lol.. Wonder if it can be milled or sanded down somehow? My brother deals with CNC machine all day & is a great fix it guy, wonder if he can do anything w/o ruining it?

Magmas have crazy long 510 posts, I can tell you from experience that if you try to screw it down to close some of that gap you can crush the 510 connection on your mod. No idea if they can be milled down or not, I just run mine on a mech mod with floating 510 pin to be safe. Damn thing leaks like a stuck pig anyway so I don't use it often. Too bad, produces great flavor.

And just so you no if this atomizer has longer then standard threads . When you try and use another atomizer you may just find they wont make contact in your mod anymore .You will end up crushing your center post gasket if your wrenching it down . I call atomizers that are made like this mod killers . Its a shame that anyone would make such a foolish mistake when designing a atomizer
