Help selecting, fine-tuning chocolate flavoring

So I finally ran out of supplies and re-ordered, and this time I got entirely different flavors. The first half-dozen I tried weren't worth re-ordering. This time I got a dozen or so new ones to try, and have been pretty disappointed overall.

I seem to be missing some big secret, because no combinations of flavors, percentages, steep times, etc, ever yielded something I wanted to make again. My 3 months of DIY experience has consisted of vaping ho-hum or downright bad juice because I'm too frugal to throw it out. I must just be a picky vaper.

Anyway, this time around I got some TFA Double Chocolate Dark, selected because I'd heard it was a strong chocolate. I've mixed it at 5, 10, 15, 20, alone and with other things, steeped for various times, and have yet to detect any chocolate flavor. I can definitely smell it when it's alone or dominant, but never detected more than a slight hint of flavor.

Because of all my failed efforts to find something I like, I've really latched onto the idea of a nice chocolate, since it seems like something I ought to enjoy. So I've got two questions. Thank you all for your time!

What chocolate-ish flavors should I try, preferably available from WizardLabs?

What tips / tricks exist for fleshing out chocolate-based juices, to really bring that flavor front and center?

There are a tons of threads on chocolate around here. It's a very difficult one to get just right...you've latched onto one of the hardest ones. lol You might have to branch away from Wizard Labs for chocolate flavorings. Bull City Vapor - Best Prices on DIY e-liquid Supplies is in NC and they ship fast. If you haven't tried Capella Chocolate Fudge Brownie, you might want to. I haven't used V2. Just a word of caution about that one...the exhale can be a bit off-putting for some people. Inawera also has some fine chocolates.

Here is one thread that looks to have some good suggestions. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/414057-chocolate-i-gotta-ask-question.html

I agree with all the above...

TFA has a Fudge Brownie that's a really strong flavor. I agree with Danny, it's a steep thing. I made one with TFA_Chocolate and TFA_Fudge Brownie and it was SO strong it tasted (on exhale) like dirty feet because it was so strong, once it'd steeped. I've noticed that if you add a very tiny bit of white chocolate to your basic chocolate flavors it'll smooth it out a bit and draw the deeper chocolate flavors out some after it's steeped for a week or so. Don't use much of it though because it'll make the chocolate taste more like a caramel, so just in very tiny little amounts.
