Help Selecting New PV Mod

After 50 years and hundreds of failed attempts to stop smoking, I finally succeeded. Key to my success lays with some very nice eGo batteries and about a ton of ejuice. But now it's time to upgrade to Genesis style atomizers and better PV mods.

I've selected the atomizers I will use but I am finding it somewhat difficult deciding what type of PV mod to get.
Being on a fixed income (I am now retired, thank goodness) I want a reliable, long living mod, By this I mean a well constructed body with reliable electronics. It is to this end I see two paths that can be taken.

1- A simple mechanical mod with the Kick installed, such as a XCalibur Mechanical or Smoktech Telescope, etc.
Or
2- A variable volt / variable watt mod such as the eVic, Zmax, Vmax, Lambo, etc.

With a mechanical mod it will be somewhat of a pain adjusting the kick each time I decide to run a different ohm atomizer or just want a change in flavor intensity or throat hit.

With a vv / vw mod the electronics have a greater rate of failure or maybe not, which is the point 'I Don't Know' about their reliability.

I tend to favor the eVic, maybe because I'm old and it's new. Anyway if someone would care to express their opinion on which way to go, I am more than willing to hear them out.

Actually I encourage you to speak out!

or
a provari - and be done with it once and for all

Hey bud ! I'm over here in Newport News... Welcome! I actually have eGo's, a VAMO and a Zmax... I love them all. I really don't find any issue adjusting the mods based on the ohms of the atty... Yhats what's great about vw... If I were going to reccommend one it would be tough but I love the VAMO for the ease of use of the menu. Try checking out PBusardos site Taste Your Juice and watch his reviews... May help you with your decision, they are very in depth.

i feel bad as i dont usually do that so i should elaborate, you are corret you dont know what your getting with a cheaper Chinese VV mod they are nice and MAY last a while but for a bit more you can get the provari, which is proven to be the toughest most relaible electronic mod on the planet.

they come with lengthy warranties, wicked customer service and can always be repaired if somehow something does go wrong. they are the gold standard. and they have been in the pool, the toilet, cups of coffee, and bounced down the highway with no failure.
if you want to just buy something there are really nice options, but if your looking to buy one thing and have piece of mind get the Prov. watch Pbusardo's review of it on youtube.

In Six months i've gotten:

Ego 650Mah
Ego 1000Mah Twist
Lavatube (Youngjune version)
Smok Telescope
UDT-v6
The Kick to use on the UDT-v6 or the Telescope
Provari

I've enjoyed all of them ........ but if I was to go back and stick with what I know now to save cost:

Provari and a Ego Twist as a backup .

But really...whatever works for you. The best part of vaping is what it does for your health, saving money is a bonus and is much easier compared what you spend in analogs. If Provape ever does come out with a VW or v3 whatever, I'll buy one and look at it as an investment for me and a good company. It can be a fun hobby too :)

I can't compare PVs as I have only ever owned the eVic ... 2 of them ... 500 hours+ on each since I purchased them 1 month ago, used for 16 - 18 hours daily and they keep on going like the Eveready bunnies.

With the kick you have to take it out of the mod to change the setting. That put me off and I ended up with the Provari. Your great grand kids can vape on this thing. Some people are into VW but I won't even look at one until Provape makes it. Their quality and customer service is second to none. Good luck no mater what you go with.

Sounds like your eVic's are holding up under hard use; could be the way for me to go.
Thanks
No argument that the Provari is one of the better, if not the best rig out there. Nonetheless, it's missing a few features of the eVic I am very fond of and even if the price were the same, I would likely have bought one of each. We don't know the lifespan of the eVic yet, whereas the Provari already has a solid track record. If I had to pick one, I'd take the eVic for functions I require the Provari doesn't have.

Maybe some day I'll end up with a Provari, but as long as my eVics continue pulling the wagon, I'll just keep going with them. And if they were a similar product at the same price, I'd rather give the business to the US.
