HELP! Stacking ribbon wire

i know how to get the ply but when I frame my stable do I stack it to where it frames the flat part of the ribbon wire or on its side. How can I explain it. Do the frames touch the .1stacks of the wires or the .5 parts of the wire. Cause if it were the latter wouldn’t it twist when you try and wrap it any help will be greatly appreciated. It’s sad when I can mail an alien but can’t stagger and frame to save my life

The flat wire is interesting but I've never done anything with it. I was able to find a vid on you tube that may help you and will put in the link.

So then you would put the frames for stapaling that wire up against the .1 side of the ribbon?

In Squidoode's video [link] it looks like the frames go up against the flat sides, not the stacked sides.

The Squid, I remember him a very good name when it comes to making coils. I agree with the above round against the flat side so you have a curved surface. Not sure why he uses Kanthal everything I use is SS for temp mode. I use a group of smaller SS round wires to let the liquid get inside instead of 1 larger wire.
