Hi everyone,
I need some help from the experts about what's causing my tank problems. I have two setups and one works perfect for at least 1 week or longer and the other one only lasts 1 day and starts tasting really bad, getting bad airy draws, etc. I use the same juice in both setups and prime the cartos the same way. They both have Phiniac tanks and use Boge laser or self punched cartos. The only difference is the PV and the carto resistance.

One thing I noticed is if I use a "Bella" or "Lava" style tank on the Provape1 I don't have these issues as much. I can usually get 3 days out of the cartos. What could the problem be using regular tanks? Thank you in advance for any help! :)

Setup 1:
ProVari Mini (set at 4.1), phiniac tank, Boge SR laser punched carto - Perfect... last for a week!

Setup 2:
Provape1, phiniac tank, Boge LR laser punched or self puched cartos - See above - 1 day YUK!

As much as I like using LR cartos, every liquid doesn't do that well with LR cartos, particularly the 'lighter' type liquids.

If you take the drip tip off, how does the LR carto look? It's hotter and if you're hitting it pretty frequently might not feed the carto quickly enough.

Thanks... Sorry I posted in the wrong area  The voltage is fixed on the Provape that I'm having the problem with so I can't change the voltage. From everything I've read, I thought you need to use the LR cartos on 3.7 fixed voltage devices??

I also tried drect dripping into the top of the carto in case it wasn't feeding good, but it didn't really help.

I happen to like 2.0 or lower on fixed voltage but a couple of my light fruity liquids almost lose their taste but I use very high VG so my liquid isn't so thick. Maybe that's why they last longer.

I have a friend that uses 3.0 with thicker liquids and says they don't gunk up so quickly.

I'd use the 3.0 if you get a good vape with them- you're battery will last longer.

I agree with everything that Caridwen said. Choice in resistance is a personal preference decision, not something that is written in stone. You might just prefer a cooler vape, as I do.

I happen to detest low resistance cartos - too harsh of vapor and many of my flavors taste burnt. For my mechanical mods I use 2.0 ohm single coils. For my Provari's and other VV mods, I use Ikenvape 2.5 - 3.0 ohm single coil cartos. I use IBTanked cartotanks.

When using my Provari's, I adjust the voltage to taste for each flavor that I use. A 3.0 ohm carto will provide me a range of 3.4 - 5.0 voltage, which is the voltage range that I use.

You might find the safe vaping power chart to be helpful in choosing your carto resistance. Suggested only as a guideline.
