Hi,

I want to buy my first e-cigarette and I really like the look of Blu e-cigs.. I want it to be black and I want that recharging pack that you can carry with you and that looks good too.. If you know of any similar ones (or better ones with that design) please tell me. Also I live in Serbia (Europe) and shipping cost is around $55  for starter pack, so I would not be able to order those "cartomizers" when the ones from the starter pack are gone (also a pack of regular cigarettes costs around $2 here in Serbia, so cartomizers are not that cheap for us). That's why I want to know can these new cartomizers that Blu e-cigs come with be refilled or not? Also how long will one last? I might not be able to order more so this is very important to me..

Thanks ahead for all the help!

ps I watched some videos on youtube about refilling cartomizers, but I don't know which ones are in the new blu e-cigarettes..

For every one positive post about the Blu on ECF, there are easily 100+ negative reviews. You will most likely be wasting your money. Remember:

Rule of Thumb: generally, the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance.

Unless you are just a social smoker who smokes less than half a pack a day, you will need a better model.

You want one with manual batteries NOT auto batteries and batteries that will give you 5 - 6 hours on a charge. The Blu you are looking at will give you 45 minutes to an hour on a charge for a moderate vaper. You would have to buy a lot of batteries and be constantly changing them.

I would suggest an E-Power 510, Kgo 510 or a Riva 510. Theres are all the size of a sharpie pen and will perform a hundred times better than the Blu or any mini-battery model for that matter. Here are several well supported suppliers:

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - EGO E-Power

KGO (Riva) 1100mAh Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit - $54.95

e-Power

I would also suggest you get some blank cartomizers (not carts) and several different flavors of eliquid in the bottle that you think you might like in the 18mg - 24mg nicotine strength. Better flavor and cost much less doing it this way.

Good Luck

If you are the "social" smoker type, then you could look at the Volt as probably the best of the minis.

Note: Liberty Flights also has a UK location if that helps considering your location:

Welcome to ECF! I don't know what's available in Serbia or who/what can ship there, but by all means, check out the suppliers' forum & sites here on ECF. I can tell you the Blu is not highly regarded among forum members who have used it, so I am almost certain you will find much better choices on here for a lot less money. If I find any more information I will bring it back to this thread.
Best of luck! :toast:

Thank you all!!
I'll have to go through all those choices you wrote and than write what I think might be best for me..
Also there are some companies selling e-cigs here in Serbia, but most of them are the white/orange (cigarette looking) types that I don't like. I don't want people coming to me and asking to put out the cigarette.. :p
I smoke around a pack a day, so I guess I need a medium strength model.. (I though that those electronic packs "pcc"-s or what ever they are called would help have enough battery pack)

You will empty the battery and one cartomizer in about the time it takes you to smoke about 5 or 6 cigarettes. You would have to pay waaaay too much shipping to buy the Blu. If you lived closer, I would say to try it, but you are going to pay a lot of money for something that might not even come close to meeting your needs. Look around and read a lot of the threads. Battery power and reliability was the MOST important thing in my mind when I decided to take the leap into the e-cig world. I work construction and know the value of longevity in battery life and convenience in recharging as a result of having to rely on cordless tools and availability of a real power source. Two 900 mHa batts get me through the work day. I was a 1 to 1&1/2 pack a day smoker for over 25 years. Although I have only been at this for 3 weeks, I am down to about 4 real smokes (analogs) a day. Some quit easier than others. Apparently I am a tough nut to crack, but I am not giving up.

Any way, I started with an eGo system with two 900 mHa batteries with carts and attys. Very quickly switched to cartos because of all of the fiddleyness (is that a word???) with constant topping off and tasting burnt filler attys. Cartos work really well. A lot simpler, haven't tried a tank yet.... Egos look really good and simple so if you want to be inconspicuos, Egos are good way to start for fairly cheap.

Not trying to intimidate you, there is a learning curve here. I knew that when I got into this. So don't be disappointed. You may have some struggles kicking the stinkies. I have had mine, but I truly believe I can finally be free of analogs forever once I find what truly works best. You are about to begin a journey. I have and I am enjoying it.

Good luck and happy vaping:D

I'm overwhelmed with information.. I've been searching different ecig web sites and don't know what to choose yet.. Also shipping is always a lot so I might end up buying one from a local store.. Can you tell me is 160 mah battery bad? How long do 510 models last on one charge approximately? Also I would be using refill fluid instead of buying a lot of cartridges so would a "tank" version of ecig suit me best?

160 mAh is tiny and not good! 100 mAh = 1 hour of light vaping. You want one with at least 650 mAh so you can get around 5 hours on a charge. The ones that I recommended all have 1000+ mAh batteries.

I would think that if you ordered from this site in the UK (Great Britian) that the shipping would be less than ordering from a US supplier:

Don't make the same costly mistakes I've made. Those slim ones are a pain. Sure, they look good but you'll end up recharging constantly. You need at least 1100mah. And one of those should last pretty near all day. Most starter kits come with two batteries and fully charged, they would definitely last you all day. Also agree with the cartomizers, easy to fill & just screw em on and go! You can throw 5 or 6 Cartos in your pocket and be good to go all day. Ego, kgo, any of the bigger 510 devices would serve you well I think.
