Yeah............The top screw in my new 808 cap is loose. Thought I might get it to a good height and loc-tite it...Then thought better as that may cause a connection problem. It would be OK if fairly flush with the threads and work with all 3 brands of 808s I have. None of them are the same so I guess I'll leave the screw loose...Now I have an additional loose screw....Rats!!

Actually you can tighten that but do not torque it , the 808 cap has a loose fit so the internals spin and it will spin the inside connection , you can remove the top cap and tighten the screws up on both sides . Just be careful installing the top cap again, the wire ring terminal wants to be in a certain spot inside the top.

DO NOT hold the WIRE when tightening the screws !!!!!! it can break so use caution. Hold the ring terminal when doing this

BTW loosening the the top screw will NOT increase the height ! you would need a washer to do that .

Actually the screw with the ring terminal inside was loose when I got it. I assumed that was to allow the terminal not to twist the wire when screwing the cap on. I'd have to remove it to see how tight it is now since I changed caps...but it works and voltage is good...The atty connection screw has been loose from the get go. Cleaning and it'll grab the towel and thread in too deep and also threads in too deep when removing/installing cartos.....not really an issue....Actually I just took it off and had a look...I've got the 808 cap on and using 808 cartos...should I remove the o-ring??? If so I may be able to tighten the screw down and still maintain contact..
