Ok so i took the advice that was kindly given on here. I went straight out and got 100% VG and a very high PG (80ish%). Both tobacco flavour. As my rash and burning face usually comes on immediately after i vape i knew it was likely that if this test was going to work id know fairly quickly. So i tried the VG and after 3 or 4 puffs it started so i stopped straight away and drank a shed load of water. A few hours later after the reaction calmed down i filled a new tank with the high PG
juice and im still
vaping it with no problems
Its bizarre but when i think back and look at the stages i realize that i made a huge error in what i thought was wrong.
1 started
vaping in august 2013 with basic ego starter kit and a high PG liquid.
2 all good for XX months then started having allergic type symptoms. When i really thought about it i had changed from my local vendors juice to socialite strawberry - this was a really strong strawberry flavour prob loaded with aspartame etc
3 started researching and saw all the stuff on PG allergies so went to 50 50 pg vg tobacco which was fine for a few weeks / a month then the rash really came at me hard.
4 made a subconcious decision that PG was the culprit and then progressed to increase VG right up to 100% VG
5 symptoms getting worse but convinced it was something other than the VG - Nic / or sweetners etc
6 took advice on here and went back to the roots and reluctantly tried high PG and hey presto no problems (so far)
Im really hoping this is the problem sorted. Only been a few days but the symptoms were immediate so i think it will be goooooood!!!!
I was so set on PG being the problem just because i had read about it on forums. Now that im reading about VG intolerance there is a lot of info on this as well and also about the diff types of VG and how it is worked in the lab.
Thanks to anyone who posted comments or advice! If it flares up again ill repost
