I don't want to get your hopes up, but I *think* that means that it's going to come back to you still a VV Grand, but with an LP haircut. I read somewhere that he charges $40 for a sex change, and I know he charges something for an LP conversion.....so, I think your bill would be higher if he had to get rid of the VV.

i look forward to your thoughts on building on one!

Seeing as how it's a VV Grand, with a 15 Watt cut-off, I'll probably just go single horizontal coil for my first build. Kiwi says his Catfish Veritas has a juice feed port that is located in the base directly below the air port, so I don't know if a vertical build would block/ restrict the juice flow. I'll know better when it is in my hands. Mostly interested in the Variable Air Flow feature. Variable Voltage, Variable Air Flow, plus I'll be wrapping my own coils- with the durability of a Reos. Play Time !

Nothing wrong with a single horizontal coil on the Veritas. Here's a closeup of the juice hole:

You can do a vertical build, just make sure you pull your wick forward a little so you don't block the juice from draining.

Congrats on getting your VV fixed and getting a Veritas. They look great on an LP.

Home, safe and sound, the same day my Catfish Veritas came in. Definably a heavier hitter than the RM2. But the VV Grand and the VAF Veritas are giving me all kinds of 'play room' to work with. Right now I'm running a little less than half on the Voltage and maybe half on the air flow. Sweet setup, killer flavor. :2cool:

I sent my working just fine VV Grand about a week ago to have it milled down to LP specs.
It was well packaged and Rob confirmed that the package had no damage and yet he sent me an email today that the milling was done but the chip is dead.

Bummer. I have no idea what could have happened and I am not a happy camper at any rate.

Rob suggested to convert it to a mech, but I have no idea how this would look like. Anybody here who has one of those and would be willing to post some pics?

Thank you.

Cheers.

HappiVappi - I am sorry to hear things did not work out for you. By converting to a 'Mech', you could consider a 'Kick' to retain the VV feature.

I guess I am fortunate that I am still enjoying mine. Running a single horizontal 2.3 ohm coil in a BF Veritas, and this is absolutely incredible. HHV Heavenly Tobacco never tasted quite this way before....
They call that rubbing salt in the wound
