Vamo VS SVD
I know it has been asked but needs some fresh thoughts. Anybody have both?
I am 4 months into vaping, started with ego, moved into twist within a month. Moved into Vamo within 2 months. Originally wanted a SVD but for some reason went with VAMO 5. Love it and would use it forever but think I need to buy another. (back up)
Sometimes the fire button does not work right, seems to be temperamental, like you have to hit it just right. Maybe it is going out, not sure. I have also read about the fragile threading problems although I have not had an issue with that yet.
I am leaning towards buying a SVD now instead of another VAMO although I do love it but if it will only go for a few months I do not want to be in this boat again.
I would like thoughts on the button thing. Is this the beginning of it going out or just something I have to live with.
Thoughts on this adapter that I can put on it before the threads do go out.
Thoughts on whether the SVD is stronger than the VAmo

(Please do not tell me to buy a Provari)

I'm also thinking about a backup for my VAMO V5 however not due to any problems at all. Mine is working like a champ since day one. I'm actually going to be getting the SID based on reviews the same reason I went with the VAMO. I would like a smaller one for using when on the road while the VAMO is my home unit.

Picked the SVD over the Vamo based on the numerous reports of weak 510 threads on the Vamo. Although the V5 may have taken care of that, not sure. Since you already have a Vamo, why not try something different? I do really like my SVD.

And since both are "telescopic", you can put in an 18350 for a smaller size - and shorter vape time per charge.

I've read of many using a 510 to Ego adapter on the Vamo, no matter what topper, to protect its threading. Or an airflow controller.

Between the Vamo and SVD I would go with the SVD, a little better electronics and more consistent build quality. My V2 Vamo has held up well, but then again it was only used as my main device for maybe two months. It sort took the sidelines when I got the V2 Sigelei Zmax.

Some people have had great luck with the Vamo, but since they are made by more than one company it is hard to say which ones are good and which ones are not so good.
