okay i'm still in the planning stage of a vv booster using the ptn 4050c. From my research i've gathered i need 2) 100 uf 16v low esr capacitors. 1) 15k 1/8 1% resistor. 1) 4.7k 1/8 1% resistor. and a 100k trimmer. i have no idea what specific brands and stuff are the best but im looking to make it be in the 3.7 to 6 volt range. but i have never worked with any trimmers/pots. i know they have 3 posts on them but from what info ive gathered from all over this and a few other modding websites esp.breaktru's posts and sites. i've made what i think is the correct wiring diagram. posted below. i just dont know how to wire the trimmer, also i would like to know if madvapes voltage reader works with the boosters it says it wont work with some, and if it wont if anyone knows what kind would i would like to know. so if someone could help me out on that it would be greatly appreciated, or any other errors i have missed. also im planning on running 18650's with it not sure how many gotta decide the box first.

No worries we learn by asking questions. Use a single battery, thats a booster circuit and only needs one. I've been using the same board lately so you can check my posts and maybe it will help. I am using the ptn 04050 with a volyage display with no issues. Mine is not from madvapes though. It's most likely the same thing. Again you can see it in my posts here on the battery modding forum. Hope i helped some.

The flutter as you call it (flickering) w/ NO voltage reading means the Ultrafire can not handle the load.
Some Ultrafires are known to not function with the 04050C. I have used the Ultrafire 18350, 1200mah (Blue Wrapper) with no problems.
