help with "AA" box mod!!! pls

I just put together a box mod, i beleive all the hookups are correct. mind you this is my first mod. Possitive to switch with led possitive to resister to switch, possitive continued to atty, negative of led to negative of battery and negative of battery to atty. Is this correct and if so could it be possible that the switch prongs are reversed. pls help thanks

oh I forgot to state the problem haha.......the unit stays on continuously powering the atty and led!! bypassing the switch

well damn they are new switches, ty, could it be possible that I switched the prongs on a 2 prong switch lol

The switch you are using may be a "Normally Closed" switch, meaning the it stays on until you press the switch down...which is the opossite of what you want to be using, or its "brokey" like MrD said

check the connections make sure the 2 "prongs" (is it what the 2 things on the switch is called?) aren't making contact.

yeah. like hawk just said. madvapes has some switches that are normally closed(???)...

no they arent makeing contact and all connections are solid, it isnt "open" because it stays on when I hit the switch....like I said it is completely bypassed

Could have possibly got it too hot soldering....I did this once with a nasty looking soldering tip. I would check the switch with a multimeter if possible.

If you have the positive from the battery going to the switch then out the other side of the switch to the center post of the connector and it stays on whether the switch is depressed or not the switch is broke. If it's a 4 post switch test which ones are correct with a meter. If you don't have a meter use your LED to chech continuity

Is the atty for sure on and not just the LED. If you have the LED on the battery side post to switch it will be on all the time.

Un hook a wire from the switch and if it isn't on it's the switch.
