You've got the led/resistor on the wrong side of the switch. Like Connman said, it will stay on all of the time. Is the atty also on?

yeah I realized that but that wouldnt effect the atty though would it, I do know he is right about the led, but i didnt have to pressy the switch to vape

If that red wire going to the atty is going through the switch, hard to tell in the pic, everything looks okay. Try another switch & just twist the wires. You never know, I have bought a bad new switch before.

Here is a wire to switch with LED. The green paint is in place of the resister while the ground wire is gray since the black wire was not visible. The ground goes to outside of atty/Battery connector and the red wire goes to center which you already know this. I`d say you look all correct could just be a bad switch and I recommend changing it out.

alright just switched the resister/led to the other side where it belongs and now it turns off when I press the switch and the package says it is normally closed so now im just confused

I had the same thing happen last week on a radio shack switch. They put the closed in the open package. I had to buy a new package and now I test them first.

I was confused at first. I ask isn't normally open supposed to be off and the lady said yes. I told her she had one open and one closed in my package. Take them back. Oh you need open not closed.

Normally open is what you want. Normally open means it's normally an open circuit, no current flowing through it, until you press the button. Normally closed means that current flows until you press the button.

Normally closed does mean closed circuit. Closed as in complete, current can travel.

haha yes it is i have 3 in mind as I type, and I knew that going in to this i was gonna be addictive......I love this thing, but I have to wait to get the right battery for it I was using a passthrough battery while I was modding it just to make sure it worked before I got the other batt
