I have read thousands of pages on this forum, and by the way, thank you to everyone for the fantastic information. It sure helps a lot when someone is as green as I am. Anyway, if there exists a list of the flavor manufactures abbreviations, I have yet to find it. Could someone please point me to that list if it exists? Also any other required lists for someone who's not so much in the know, like me. Thank you everyone for your help, and again, I can't tell you how much this forum has helped! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

Here are a few:

  • AFS - Automatic Feed System. An AFS is a automatic e-liquid delivery system.
  • APV - APV or Advanced Personal Vaporizer. An APV refers to many of the more modern e-cig devices and typically have variable voltage or wattage abilities.
  • Atty - Short for Atomizer.
  • CASAA - Consumer Advocacy for Smoke-Free Alternative Association.
  • DIY - Do it yourself. Commonly used to refer to making your own e-juice or mods.
  • mAh - Acronym for Milliamp Hours. This is a unit for measuring electric power over time. mAh is commonly used to describe the total amount of energy a battery can store at one time. The more mAh, the longer a battery should last.
  • ml - Milliliter. A Metric unit of volume that is used for e-juice bottles.
  • PG - Acronym for Propylene Glycol. An ingredient found in most e-liquids. Generally speaking, the more PG in an e-liquid, the better the throat hit. It also makes e-liquids thinner.
  • RBA - Rebuildable Atomizer - These have a tank that holds e-liquid, normally a nice sized tank that does not require dripping of liquid directly onto the coil. It feeds it self, or wicks to the coil.
  • RDA - Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer - This is where you drip e-liquid directly on the wick/coil, it only holds a few drops at a time, Organic cotton and Rayon are mainly used to build these.
  • VG - Acronym for Vegetable Glycerine. It's an ingredient found in most e-liquids. It is used widely as a food and drink additive and as a carrier/thickener for many medicines. The more VG in an e-liquid, the better the vapor production/thickness. It makes e-liquids thicker.
  • VV - Variable Voltage, used commonly when referring to a vaping device that offers a variable voltage option.
  • VW - Variable Wattage, used commonly when referring to a vaping device that offers a variable wattage option. Variable wattage is becoming the norm on high end regulated mods.

Very good list!! This is the only misinformation I found. In RDA's hardly anyone uses silica wick. Organic cotton, or rayon is most commonly used.

:) Thanks. I will update that at the source and in this post. Thanks.

PS, I just realized that this was posted in the DIY subforum. Most of these acronyms are useless for this sub. :)

Do you know what FE stands for? I looked at a description of some flavors and FE was one of the vendors

Cream - FE
Huckabee and Heinz (tobacco) - FE

I guess I could search for Huckabee and Heinz. Can't be too much with that name on the internet can there?

Apparently FE stands for "Flavors Express"

I've never heard of them before but I found them at ECX

P.S. I should note that in my list above for TPA/TFA you'll want to use "The Flavor Apprentice" side instead of The Perfumers apprentice. They split their concentrates into two separate categories and for DIY purposes TFA are the ones you'll want.

Oh, I forgot....

LA = Lorann's
