Help with baby brother spitting

Hi all
I'm new to the world of rba's. I have a tpriv and I've just purchased a smok v8 x-baby rba coil for my baby beast brother tank. I'm finding that its spitting and popping a great deal, so much that I can't use it. I'm using the coils it came with, clapton coils I think they are, and Japanese cotton for the wick. The higher I vape the worse it becomes. I've tried 10-80 Watts.
Has anyone any ideas please?

More cotton in the coils.

Spitting is generally caused by either having the wattage too low (e-liquid doesn't get hot enough to properly vaporize), or loose wick in the coils (e-liquid builds up in the empty space, anf the lack of direct contact with the coils makes the liquid boil and pop rather than vaporize).
