I call these things Vaporizers rather than regulated Mods, mine have all the circuit protections needed to keep them safe and I haven't had problems after using them for coil resistance and burning coils. I have a coil master 521 that will read resistance and burn now, it comes in handy. I'd like another tank so I can still use the tanks I have and still work on another build.

true, but is it ok to dry fire and test a coil on my only regulated mod? I have heard it's best to get an ohm reader for the build as opposed to just using a mod.
Ohm readers won't be any better than most regulated mods. In fact, on regulated mods you can adjust the power, whereas on ohm readers you can't and therefore risk overstressing the batteries if you fire a very low build.

I've got two TfV8 Big baby beast tanks the one with the original coils and another one I made some SS Clapton dual coils for, both are using RBAs. The original one works fine the other has problems. I just took a good look and I find that the tank has some problems, depending on how you put it together you can get a shorted coil or you get a high resistance so the coil only draws less than one amp.
That's the problem I'm running into you press the fire button and it only draws less than 1 amp so you get no vapor. I tested out both tanks and can get the good tank to have the high resistance also.
