help with building on an rba

I suggest building just a simple coil (space or compressed, doesn't matter) initially. Don't build too low in ohms initially, somewhere between 0.5 - 1.0 overall. (Remember, two 1.0 ohm coils make 0.5 ohm overall.)

Use either 24, 26, or 28 gauge kanthal wire. Use a coil calculator to figure out the number of wraps you need for your target resistance. I like 3mm diameter coils because they are easier to wick.

I see that its a dual post velocity style deck. As baditude mentioned I would start with simple wire coils of kanthal.

I prefer to not go thinner than 26gauge wires as I find myself clipping thinner wires with the hex screws.

Google "Steam engine coil wrap", you'll be presented with a calculator to assist you with resistance, number of coils, wire thickness (gauge), inner diameter (bit you wrap your wire around) and finally how many wraps is needed.

The coil building should be pretty straightforward. Its the wicking part you have to tinker with as every RBA / RTA is unique.

Okay, Tha makes sense, iv been trying to read up on ohms law too, what I don't get is how you know what amps each mod can take, the way I read it was when you find out the amp you can then find the wattage and volts

A regulated mod's product sheet should say the processor's amp limit.

Calculating battery current draw for a regulated mod If using a high wattage regulated mod, use a 20 - 30 amp CDR IMR battery, which ever your mod's manufacturer recommends. The processor's amp limit determines the amp requirement in this application, not the atomizer resistance.
