Alright, well, today I got my first rda after watching lots and lots and LOTS of videos online about them. And I've encountered a problem and just can't solve it on my own so I thought I'd make an account on here(finally) and ask you guys. I would've posted it in the Ask the Veterans section, but it isn't letting me. But anyway, here's the deal. The setup I've got going on is the Igo-W with a clear cap(not sure if that matters) on the Smoktech Magneto with an 18650. I've got a dual coil setup after just not getting much performance out of a single coil and they come out to 1-0.9 ohms(Total resistance. So two 2 ohm coils). Kind of low for a newbie, but I made sure my battery could handle it before putting it my mech. Using cotton wick. The problem is that I'm getting little to no vapor, and what vapor I do get is thin. The taste is pretty harsh and damp. I cough frequently, and no other set up I have does that to me. Not to mention the taste is just. Well. Not good. That problem could just be because the wick hasn't been broken in yet, but I'm not sure. I'm using 100% cotton and I've tried multiple different ways of wicking it to see if that would solve anything. I tried sticking it under the coil and using it as a bed, I've tried wrapping it around the coil, I've tried running it through the coil, running it through the coil and covering a part of it make the coil touch more of the wick, I've done everything I can think of and it's still piddly. I'm not expecting clouds of vapor or anything, but I was expecting it to atleast be on par with a cartomizer. And it hasn't been. A disposable stardust on an ego battery has given me a better vape. They also take a little bit to warm up. I don't know if I'd call them micro coils, but I made sure that they were tight and fired evenly from the middle before wicking. I wrapped them around a piece I broke off of a wire hanger, if that puts any perspective on it. I also made sure there weren't any hot spots. And I tried putting it on an apv I have to see if it was just my battery or the connections going out on me and got the same results not matter what voltage I put it at. I also made sure the airholes were lined up the way they should be so that isn't the problem.
I knew I wouldn't immediately make the perfect setup or anything remotely close, but it seems subpar for the build I did. Any thoughts?
