Hello all! So, I finally ventured into the world of dripping and bought an IGO W. I can't wait to build a coil on it so I can try it out. I only want to build a single coil for now so I can try it on my ego ctwist. My ? is what should I use to wrap the coils (drill bit, toothpick, etc.) or should I just wrap around some 2mm silica wick folded 4 times over. I was thinking about using 30g. How many coils should I do? Should I use cotton? I know I'll need at least 1.5 ohms right? What have your experiences been when doing a single coil on an IGO w? I'll start doing dual coils and sub ohm stuff when I get a mechanical, but in the meantime, I am dyin' to try it out. Thanks guys!:vapor:

A single coil will work just fine on a IGO-W, (if you have two holes in the cap, put a piece of tape over one) I've found the easiest way is to coil on a toothpick or vary small screwdriver, attach the coil, remove the toothpick and insert the wick. I generally ail for about 2.0 ohms, gives me room to adjust the voltage up or down for the perfect vape, no burning....:vapor:

Micro coils are great and I build my Igo-W with 28 gauge and cotton wicks. I most recently did 8 wraps of 28 gauge around a 1/16th drill bit. This equalled about 1 Ohm. Now, if you increased the wraps to say, 12, you'd be right around 1.5 Ohms. Look up YouTube videos for building drippers as they can largely be translated to the Igo-W.

So it sounds like I can just use the same method Ive been using doing my Protank coils. That's great! I've checked out a lot of the you tube vids and they all seem to do subohm stuff.

I tried a single coil on my igo-w. I said the same as you, ah a single is fine for now. But the tinkerer inside of me came out. The next day I built a dual coil on it. I used 32awg kanthal 11 wraps each on the smallest allen wrench I could find, it came out to 1.4 ohms. The igo-w is insanely easy to build on.

If you're going to use cotton I found that having the cotton stop exactly at the end of the coil and leave a small tail to go down into the base is the best. I have not burned cotton on it that way. But when cotton stuck out both ends the end closer to the outside cap would burn.

If you're thinking about upgrading your ego, the mvp2 has a resistance checker on it and is only 40 bucks. I build all of my coils on it to test them, and it fires them fine as well.

101vape is the cheapest I've found for igo-w and if you are considering an upgrade the mvp2 is $40 from there as well.
