Watch out on the usb stuff. Many of the usb chargers are only good for less than an amp. I tried to make a usb pass through on a KR8 and the charger would go into protect mode. I ended up just using an old 20 pin atx power supply on the 5 volt red-black wires. When I tried to use the 3.2 orange-black wires the power supply would go into over load protect.

If you can it would be cool to see some photos of the opened Ego battery and switch. I have thought about playing with one for moding to a larger battery but neither of mine have died yet.

This is how i take them apart.

cutting wheel on a dremel and i make a slice going length ways. The cover is only .010 thousandths of a inch thick so you dont have to cut very deep.

i just pry the tube open with a little screwdriver. The battery ground is soldered to the end cap just yank it off and the guts slide out.

Thats pretty much all there is too it. This was a bad battery that ab357 sent to me. Looks like one of the diodes on the protection/mosfet circuit board is fried.
