how to remove connector

is there a easy way to pull apart a old 510 battery to remove the adapter for the atty to connect to for making a mod. Or do I have to tear this thing to pieces to get it out?

to remove the atty connector what worked for me was submerge into boiling water than ice water and screwing a dead batt into the threads and pull sideways and back and forth. try the same with the connector...

I just cut mine off with a tubing cutter then tore apart the rest. Got my connector and my frustrations out at the same time. Plus had a nice tube leftover for the modding parts box.

But pop the led off and pull the battery out first.

got it done and made my no sod mod.. took a keychain flashlight with push button and spring hits better than the supposed 5v passthru i had.. ended up using one little spot of solder since the center post was a bit too short for the spring to go in and make the connection..

single battery lasts over 4 hours now.. might last longer when i get a real charger for them and get a full charge..
