Hi guys. I've been trying some small scale juices. I got my flavors from the flavor apprentice. Sweet tart, pomegranate, and Carmel. I have Tried mixing from 2% to 10% and I can't get the flavor to pop. I have done 50/50 to 80/20 vg/pg ratios. Any advice. I apologize if I let out needed info.

What is the NIC content your mixing at?
Are you mixing individual flavors. because these really don't combine well.
are you letting them steep a few days? The taste will change over a few days.
5% on each should give you an idea on what they taste like so try to define how you want them to POP (Sweetness, flavor strength etc...)

Have you done any research on DYI?

Read my blogs before getting started

E-Cigarette Forum - dannyv45 - Blogs

then read hoosier's blogs.

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.

My Nic is 50mg mixed to 6mg in juice. I'm making all 3 separately and I have steeped them for various amounts. The Carmel I can get close but has a maple syrup taste if I mix it too strong. I have read most of the stickies ( admittedly not all) I'll defiantly read the blogs as soon as I get a chance.

Caramel is usually combined with other flavors and not really vaped on it's own. Also flavors form different flavor manufactures taste different so you'll need to do some experimentation. I would recommend looking through the forum and look for some recipes to use as a guide.

Side by side comparisons of test batches will help you zone in on your flavor sweet spot.

So mix the same flavor in several 5ml test batches of lets say 2-4-6-8-and 10 % and sample each right after mixing then let them steep a few days then re-taste. If there good but need a bit of something else read my blog on sweeteners and enhancers (Look for "Blogs" right under my avatar).

I noticed that a stand alone Carmel was impossible to find that's why I DIYed it. And that on I have pretty good. It's not a premium but tasty. The sweet tart I have stepped up and steeped just can't get it right I was hopping someone else had experience with that flavor

TPA/TFA's Sweet Tart tastes like Smarties to me at 10%. (Smarties without the powder)

When I want something that tastes like a sweet tart I go with DaMulta's sweet tart recipe.

Thank you for that. I'm going to be branching out into more complex recipes within the next month. Maybe adding a melon to the Tfa would help? What do you think

Welcome to the fun part of DIY. Mixed up a TFA Fruit Stripe it isn't setting very well with me. I think the TFA Black Cherry is the culprit. Too strong. Fighting vape tongue right now so I can't be fair. I still add the lemon juice and stevia to my mixes even though some say it is not advisable. Read Danny's stuff, I trust his advice any day cause he is that one that has helped me the most along my journey to DIY Heaven. What pop are you looking for? Smooth? Tart? Flavor?
