Hi all, I put in all orders last night so that when* everything arrives (a big concern, crossing my fingers it's all here at least in time for our Xmas-with-the-inlaws trip), I should be able to put together a pretty nice setup - far as my newb brain can tell, lol!

How do you guys carry your e-cigs? I have a purse, but wouldn't want it just rattling around in there with everything, so in order to keep it protected I'm wondering what type of bag or case I should get. I did purchase everything Bad suggested (thanks again, you rock so flippin hard!!!) so the batteries will be safe, but I haven't reallly noticed much in the way of carrying cases or pouches for my new e-cig. Provape has a "holster case" for it's version one model (which is not at all the same, or shaped the same, as the mini I purchased), but again, that's about it. Easy enough to find a little case or pouch, just can't wuite picture/determine (never was great at math) the total demensions of the setup once it's put together.

Thanks!
Cara

Oh, btw, I ended up getting a couple different juices from Backwoods Brew; Casablanca and a couple others. Want to definitely get more though, preferable before my trip (read: asap) so any and all further suggestions are totally welcome and appreciated. Baditutde, I'm going to hit the places you mentioned for that next. Thanks again!

I use a case sold by Smokeless Image. There are similar cases like this one sold by many vendors as an "eGo" case, but this one is a little different. With this case, the webbed storage pockets open from the same direction on both sides of the case. All other eGo cases by the other vendors, the storage pocket on one side is upside down (very impratical).

There are two elastic bands into which a couple of mods can be inserted and held in place (You're going to eventually get a backup device). Three webbed pockets to store extra batteries, tanks, cartomizers, clearomizers, juice bottles, etc.

I made the above rubber sleeve for my Provari from a motorcycle handgrip for just $9. See here how to make one: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/provari/326118-diy-inexpensive-rubber-provari-protective-grip.html

I would recommend anything eGo. I started with a ProSmoke and moved to a 510, then on to eGo. A 900mah battery will last you a full day most of the time and there's a bunch of delivery systems that are compatible(anything with 510 threading). My favorite juice vendors so far are RWvapors, Vaperite, Momandpopsvaporshop, and Goodejuice.

:ohmy:I'M SCREWED!!!

Received orders from everyone except GotVapes (tanks), which would mean I can't use anything I have, BUT I thought ahead and ordered cartomizers from Provape Just In Case this exact thing happened, and guess what?? Provape included everything BUT THE FLIPPIN CARTOMIZERS!!!!!! UUUUUUUUGGGGH.

I'm sorry, I know caps are annoying, but there is no way to express the messed upedness of my current situation. I have a few hours to pack before we leave (already running late, without this e-cig disastrophy!), have been putting out fires left and right - hence my inability to actually open each package, open each product whithin each package (serious overpackaging lol, but I get it, nothing broke), compare to shipping labels (none included in Provape order, hilarious, right? Email Invoice TOTALLY confirms the cartos tho), try to put the stuff together, and, you know, maybe try vaping. Our dog got a wicked absess on her little paw two days ago and we've been in the emergency vet clinic, my car broke and had to go in to the shop (yes, same car we're driving up east through snow storms for "The Most Wonderful Time Of the Year"), and there's quite a bit more, but just know I'm being anything but hyperbolic when I say I literally did not have time do do more tahn check that the packages had arrived. Since all but the Got Vapes one were here I figured I'd be ok because of the Provape cartomizers and also I kept thinking GotVapes package might come today. It did not.

None of these guys have phone numbers...just emails. I'm all over that in general. In fact I'll do just about anything to avoid the customer service phone call. But right now I have ZERO time to write emails beyond the one line cry for help I just sent provapes since GotVapes didn't really do much wrong except have slow shipping times and not respond to my "special note" on the order to contact me if they couldn't get the package to me by yesterday.

So here I am, hiding in my office though I need to get my .... upstairs to pack but I'm ashamed to see my husband and have to tell him that, in fact, that little voice in his head saying "she's not gonna do it" was right, because I can't switch to e-cigs during this trip, and I will again be filling the car (his lungs) with cancer because despite my efforts - which were tremendous, but came way too late - and the disgusting amount of money I've spent, and the hours, and the patience, time, energy, and generous spirit of all of you which I will have now wasted, it ain't gonna happen.

Anyone know a place to get cartomizers that will fit the provape mini between Hubbard, Ohio (44425) and Brattleboro, Vermont (05301). On a Sunday. The one before Christmas. Off the highway.

Oy. Vey.

Yeah, there's a chance that you can find prefilled 510 cartos at a walgreens or any pharmcy or gas station. Just charge you p-vari batteries and take it with.

If you're up there a few days, find a vape shop, there are a few up there.

OMG Really??!? Wow that would be awesome! Ok, so any 510 carto will fit my provape mini? I have the atomizers that I bought as an add-on with the provape mini, just no carto/tank. Provape now wants to send out the missing cartos next tuesday, lol, like that helps me at all.* Got the batteries charging since earlier today. the charger Baditude suggested seems great, though it's been on green (as in, fully charged, i think, though instructions are seriously lacking) since very shortly after I began charging the two bigger batteries and I'm not sure how long it should take for a first charge (or any after that for that matter). Chinese manufacturer for the charger so no customer service there, just hoped it worked like other non-ecig battery chargers I've used but I'm thrown by the quick red-to-green light change.

I'll definitely take what I have with me, just have zero idea where to begin looking for a retailer (will try walgreens first of course, but I don't believe they don't carry anything like that in the one here cuz I've asked) that would have cartos. If I do find an actual vape shop that would be brilliant becuase then I could use the juice I bought special based on recomendations here, part of which was to avoid subjecting my hubby to even the fainter vape smell of tobacco-like fumage ( bought backwoods brew vanilla, coffee type flavors).

Thank you so much for responding, and anyone out there with more ideas please keep em coming. Thank all of you once again for saving my behind!

*Blanket Qualifier: I know the vendors are doing their best, honest mistakes happen, especially around the holiday rush, and I also know I'm the one who waited way too long to get this process started. Still frustrated though, lol.

For me, the Smokeless Image Volt Pro Starter Kit was a great way to start. + since you can get 20% off it's even better. You get 2 batteries, 5 cartos, a usb charger and a charging case. Took 2 business days to get here, ordered friday, arrived monday.

I have loved it since.

But then thats my opinion.

This was after trying to wrap my head around all the choices that were out there, im still a newbie. So from one newbie to another, do your research, take all info given to you with a grain of salt and take advice from the forum. Everyone will have different tastes and standards, but after awhile you will start seeing similar patterns.

:blush:Ok, I'm the (insert expletive here)

I WAS just going to tell you this part, which is true:
I received a reply from Provape (super nice Customer Service rep, btw, working from home and continuing to write back!) explaining that I can use the atomizers I purchased (which DID arrive) to get started, instead of Cartomizers or tanks. I am a newb, which you all know, but I really dorked out here because I had read a thousand times what each part is, and totally forgot that, while annoying, atomizers can be used for a couple drips. Knowing that I am not completely without options to get vaping with what I have, I felt much better.

Here's the part where I totally suck; the part I wasn't going to share, but because of the unbelievably forthcoming, responsive, generous and basically kick-.... support you guys have offered, the least I can do is admit my huge, embarrassing, and hugely embarrassing mistake:

After receiving that lovely email from Jennifer-of-Provape, I walked outside to get a big breath of fresh - if freezing - air. Only at that moment did it occur to me that, even though I had checked the mailbox at least 3 times earlier today in hopes of finding the GV package with the tanks, to take one more look now that it was dark and there was little doubt mail delivery had ended for the evening.

Yep, it was there. I feel more stupid even than I must look (I know, quite a feat at the moment), but I figure anyone bothering to read all these drama-queen posts under the very aptly chosen username Mashugana (Yiddish for crazy), deserves a good laugh, and to know I am all ready to set up my new setup.

No doubt I'll be back with some inane, inept, or both (likely) question in a state of utter panic because A and C don't seem to connect together and I can't find B, or some such nonsense, but until then, my most earnest thanks to all who have posted in this thread.

I seem to be missing something about the Xtar WP2 II battery recharger. The 18350 batteries (smaller ones - bought 3), are too small for this charger (again, unless I'm mistaken). The charger has these little screw things that, upon first look, I thought would unscrew to shorten the space for batteries, thereby allowing a smaller battery to fit while touching the two...whatever you call the two opposite sides that need to touch the battery to charge (sorry, fried brain). I tried twisting the screw looking things but after a couple twists they completely came out, well before extending anywhere near the length needed for the smaller batteries to fit.

Do I need to now buy a separate charger? Do I need to buy some accessory to allow this charger to work with the smaller batteries? Not a huge emergency either way, but with only 2 larger batteries I'll be sort of working without a net this week on our trip, only one battery to spare at any given time.

Thanks in advance for any responses!
Cara

Not sure what size the other batteries are, but as long as you have a way to recharge them you should be alright. General rule of thumb is one hour of use per 100 mah. The charger you have is supposed to be able to recharge your smaller batteries with the use of spacers, not sure if they were included with your charger or not, but I am sure you can buy them or some intelligent soul will post on here with an alternative spacer to use. So just recheck your packaging material again and maybe you will find spacers were included. If not as long as you have a way to recharge your larger one you should alright. So did you end up with the Provari?

Thanks Steve, I checked and nothing else was included but the charger, a/c adapter and car adapter.

I ended up getting the Provari Mini with the extender cap to use the later batteries. We're actually on the road right now - heading to my husband's family in Vermont for Xmas, and I'm trying to set it all up while the hubby drives.

Got all the parts fitting together, just not sure how to get the ejuice in the Viva Nova tank. Bout to google it now, sure would b awesome if even one of the zillions of pieces parts I purchased came with either directions or even just a rough diagram - like the provape itself! Anyhoo I'll check back in later, let u guys know how it's going.

Thanks!

Hi All,

Just got back from a looooong holiday trip to visit fam in the northeast, but wanted to hop on here real quick to thank everyone for making my first vaping experience AWESOME!!! I LOOOOOOOVE my new setup (Provari Mini, Viva Novi tanks, etc...see Baditude's post on 1st or 2nd page for the rest since I followed his advice practically to the letter), and am down to 1-3 analog cigs a day...from 2 packs a day!!!!

Ok, just had to give you guys the update, and now must unpack, eat, and lie down in the closest thing I can find to an isolation tank (all family time and no personal space makes Cara a mashugana girl) for an indeterminate amount of time. Not in that order.

I'll expand later, but for now, thank you so very much!!!

Cara (Mashugana)

p.s. thanks btw, I can indeed put the spacers together to charge the smaller batteries one at a time. Cheers!

I'm super happy with my provape - and even happier to have found this cult - I mean community :D Already recommending both to every smoker I know, and at least two are already researching for their first vapes. Not much time now, but I'll be back again soon to report on a few things I've learned so far using this setup - which, for those of you just tuning in, is the one Baditude recommended - both positive and not as positive. The latter column is WAAAY shorter than the former, though; I am absolutely wild about the Provari mini and am downright in love with Backwoods Brew "Casablanca." Tried a few other flavors and keep coming back to this one, though of course I have zillions more to try - one of the many fun aspects of vaping that continues to engage me. As expected, I did go back up a tiny bit in terms of analogs per day once we got home from the trip and I was back in all the associations from my smoking life, but I'm still between 2 and 4 (5 at the most and that was just once, several days ago) a day, verses the 2 packs a day before you guys gave me a new lease on life! I'm almost out of the analogs anyway (long story, and can't remember if I wrote it all out on a previous post in this thread, but basically I have a limited supply of non-fsc or non-firesafety cigarettes that, unlike those sold in stores do NOT have the carpet glue that makes me sick - and I'm down to poorly packed or broken ones from the bottom of the containers, which wouldn't be satisfying even if I still enjoyed the analog experience as much as I once did. And yep, that really was the short version ). After vaping througout the day, the few analogs I allow myself spread throughout the evening are pretty nasty tasting, and I rarely finish a whole one before going back to the Provari. Don't bother trying to help me understand how crazy it is that I keep lighting them nonetheless; I know it's entirely mental at this point, and even the mental addiction is more about me holding on in some psycho "last goodbye" to cigarettes. Anyhoo, you guys continue to be my touchstone; even when I'm too busy to log on, I know I can bring any question or concern that I don't figure out for myself to you all, and get help and support. Love to you all from me, and from my husband as well, who continues to positively respond to my commitment to vaping, and who - of his own volition - has probably told more people about ECF and vaping than I have lol!

Ok, enough of that, don't wanna cheese up the place with my gushing, just one more big ol' thank you for everything. Back soon, hopefully with further Vaping>Analog progress to report. Yeah, that seamed clever in my head, but now I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a "<" or a ">"....but you guys get the drift.

Thanks always!!!
