I use an eGo with LR atty and drip tip, and it works great for me.
And my gf wants her parents to switch over to e-cigs, and they really want to try it.
Now I think that they would be better off with a 510 only because it looks like an analog. So ive been looking into getting a starter kit for them.

I am really trying to make it easy for them, and I feel like dripping would be too much of a pain, so would you suggest carto's?
And if so, where is the best place to get pre filled cartos??

Thanks,
Greg

Y'all have been at this alot longer than me, but today is my one month anniversary-from a newb who switched very easily I can't say enough good things about my Volt. Their cartos are dual coil and came highly recommended on these forums-even by those who used other hardware. I haven't found it difficult to fill them at all and I haven't lost one yet after lots of refills and cleanings. The empties are the same price as filled so it doesn't hurt to try a different flavor while you're at it. Rather than toss them I'd buy extra liquid to keep them going.

I haven't found a juice I loved at smokelessimage, and their bottles are a little steep anyway so personally I go elsewhere for that but the hardware is top notch, customer service is the best, and because it's so much like smoking an analog it made the switch very simple for me. I haven't touched an analog since I opened my box, screwed two pieces together, and started vaping.

Glad to hear her parents are going to try it. If it has to look like an analog, the 510 is a good choice. You're going to need two kits though. I'd go with the dual coils if I went cartos. Tell them good luck from me. :)

I agree with this. A 510 kit would be great for a new vapor. If they enjoy this then eventually upgrade to an eGo or mod.

If her parents are complete newcomers I would recommend they get a G6 kit from Halocigs.com just because it really is the most newbie friendly option right now. It is one of the new KR808D-1 kits, is a very high quality, performs like a champ, isn't messy, they can either buy prefilled cartomizers or refill them. It's simple to refill these cartos because they have a soft tapered rubber mouth piece that comes off easily but also fits snugly. These don't leak at all, have really great battery life (3.5-6 hours for me) and the customer services is great. Shipping was really fast too. There are other suppliers that offer similar KR808D-1 kits but don't have great instructions for beginners. The G6 has very thorough and simple instructions for everything from the initial charge of the battery, proper care of the kit and even how to refill the cartomizers, including exactly how much e-liquid to use. Most kits don't offer that and newbies end up flooding and ruining stuff and getting discouraged. That's why I think the G6 is the best kit for any vaping beginner. Good luck in your efforts!

I would say it depends on how heavy of a smoker they are I have someone that is just quitting and hated the 510 because of the battery life and being tied down to a charger but loves the EGO-T tank system just fine because of how long it lasts its easy to fill and the battery lasts way longer he was a two pack + a day smoker. But if they insist it has to look like an analog then i guess you go with those that do.

Edit: Just wanted to add that most of us buy a smaller one and end up wanting a bigger one and have to fork out yet again for another kit not long after we start vaping you might want to bring that up to them. I really wish someone had told me the 510 would make me happy for a very short amount of time then annoy me with all the work involved with it.

A 510 kit is my backup PV (used to be my primary) but I use XL batteries and mega cartos. I don't care for LR attys on 510s just because the battery life isn't there but it might work just fine for others. Vapor production is good but I end up changing batteries at least twice a day :(

I haven't found a prefilled carto that I really liked yet - I'm sure they're out there but I taught the spousal unit to fill her own cartos in about ten minutes.
